Method used:

By concentrating on the grammatical pronouns in the Hebrew language,  from Dan 11:45 at the end of the chapter, and working verse by verse proceeding backwards to verse Dan 11:16, one comes to the conclusion that we are talking about one power only. The position taken here is, that the Little Horn power mentioned in Dan 7: and Dan 8: is  referred to in greater detail with pronouns in Dan 11: Even more, these pronouns in Dan 11: reveal that this power is referring to the Roman Catholic church system of worship governed by the papacy, and does not refer to the King of the North or the King of the South according to this study.

Dan 11:45 “he shall come to his end, and no one will help him.”

This is the end of the Little Horn power taking place at the Second Coming.

All Adventist and Protestant theologians would agree on the interpretation at this point. that this power comes to an end in verse 45.

Dan 11:45 “He shall plant his tents of his palace between the seas and the glorious holy mountain.”

The Little Horn power which is a symbol of Roman Christianity, has planted her system of worship between the seas of wicked nations, peoples (Isaiah 57:20) around the world and the glorious holy mountain which is a symbol of the heavenly sanctuary. (Heb 8:1. Psalms 76:2). Roman Christianity has obscured the work of Jesus Christ in the heavenly sanctuary by their system of forgiveness and worship through the priests and popes[1].

Dan 11:44 “But news from the east and the north shall trouble him; therefore he shall go out with great fury to destroy and annihilate many.”

The Little Horn power will try to destroy many referring to all those who do not accept the Roman Catholic system of worship. East and the North refers to the enemies of God´s people in the Old Testament (See my study on Rev 16:12). The following nations came from the East and the North of Israel to battle against the Israelite’s: Assyrian, Babylon, Medo-Persian, Greece and Rome.

Dan 11:43 “He shall have power over the treasures of gold and silver.”

Gold and silver are symbols of belief. Rev 3:18 Rev 18:9.10.

There will come a time when Roman Christianity will have power over all those who accept her system of worship.

Dan 11:42 “He shall stretch out his hand against the countries, and the land of Egypt shall not escape.”

The land of Egypt from the Old Testament is a symbol of atheism: like Pharaoh who did not recognize the power of God at work through the 10 plagues on Egypt.

Dan 11:41 “He shall also enter the Glorious Land.”

The glorious land is a symbol of Gods kingdom her on earth. There will come a time when the Roman Catholic Church (The Little Horn Power) will enter the protestant kingdom of believers including the Adventist church. Matt 24:24. For false Christ’s and false prophets will arise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. Many shall be overcome and some will escape. According to the book of Revelation 16:13, the false prophet here would refer to Protestants especially from the USA who have stopped protesting against the Roman Catholic system of worship.

Dan 11:40 has given many problems to our leading theologians in the church. Why? Because they are not using a correct exegesis. They resort to the quick find method like Google on the internet and Bible Commentaries. When you do not do your own exegesis, then you rely on someone doing it for you. That is a great weakness amongst theologians. When relying on other Bible Commentaries, how do you know that they are right?

Let me explain Dan 11:40. “And at the time of the end shall the king of Negev push at him: and the king of the North shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.”

Referring to theologians in the Adventist church who take the position that the Little Horn is the King of the North from let´s say verse 22, this gives us a problem. When using the pronouns and nouns for the King of the North right down to verse 39, then you come to verse 40, this same king of the North meets another King of the North. You cannot have two kings of the North. It cannot be his twin brother either. This gives a problem. Not many theologians mention this problem.

The problem is solved if one takes the view that all the pronouns going backwards from verse 45 to verse 16 refer to the Little Horn power only. Hence, the King of the North is another power which we will deal with in another study.

Dan 11:40 “At the time of the end the king of the South shall attack him.”

The king of the south will be dealt with in another study. However, this King attacks the little Horn power. Dan 11:40 “And the king of the north shall come against him.” This king also attacks the Little Horn power. So we have two kings attacking the little horn power in verse 40. Actually in the Hebrew it is the Little Horn power who attacks the king of the north and the king of the south. It is not the two powers who do the attacking. See my study on Dan 11:40.

The Little Horn power is referred to as the pronoun “he” and nothing else.

Dan 11:39 The pronoun “he” is used for the Little Horn power.

Dan 11:38 The pronouns “him” and “he” are used for the Little Horn power.

Dan 11:37 The pronouns “him,” “he” and “himself” are used for the Little Horn power.

Dan 11:36 The pronouns “he,” “him” and “himself” are used for the Little Horn power.

The noun “King” is also used for the Little Horn power in this verse.

Dan 11:35 No pronouns are used her.

Dan 11:34 No pronouns are used her.

Dan 11:33 No pronouns are used her.

Dan 11:32 The pronoun “he” is used her for the Little Horn power.

Dan 11:31 The pronoun “him” is used her for the Little Horn power.

Dan 11:30 The pronouns “him” and “he” are used for the Little Horn power.

Dan 11:29 The pronoun “he” is used her for the Little Horn power.

Dan 11:28 The pronouns “he” and “him” are used for the Little Horn power.

Dan 11:27 No pronouns are used her.

Dan 11:26 The pronouns “him” and “he” are used for the Little Horn power.

Dan 11:25 The pronouns “he” and “him” are used for the Little Horn power.

Dan 11:24 The pronouns “he” and “him” are used for the Little Horn power.

Dan 11:23 The pronouns “him” and “he” are used for the Little Horn power.

Dan 11:22 The pronoun “him” is used her for the Little Horn power.

Dan 11:21 The pronouns “he” and “him” are used for the Little Horn power.

Dan 11:20 The pronouns “he” and “him” are used for the Little Horn power.

Dan 11:19 The pronouns “he” and “him” are used for the Little Horn power.

Dan 11:18 The pronouns “he” and “him” are used for the Little Horn power.

Dan 11:17 The pronouns “him” and “he” are used for the Little Horn power.

Dan 11:16 The pronouns “he,” “his” and “him” are used for the Little Horn power.

Dan 11:16. It seems like the pronouns “he,” “his” and “him” stop here and the preceding verses describe the fight between the king of the North and the King of the South.

Dan 11:16. “But he who comes against him.” “He” refers to the little horn power and “him” refers to the preceding verse power which is the King of the North being the subject of verse 15.

Now if Dan 11:16 is the beginning of the little horn power then there should be some indication from the preceding verses of the other three horns which were trodden down by the little horn as it came to power, as mentioned in Dan 7:8 and Dan 7: 24.

Such a verse implying the three horns is Dan 11:14. www.scripture4all.org “And in those times, there shall be many who stand up against the king of the Negev: also the sons of the robbers of your people shall exalt themselves to establish the vision; but they shall fall.”

What does robber mean?

As opposed to the thief on the cross, who comes quietly in the night and steals valuables; the robber comes in broad daylight like the robbers in the parable of the Good Samaritan and uses force to take goods and valuables from a person.

Who is the angel talking to in verse Dan 11:16?

It is Daniel the prophet. Dan 10:1 “In the third year of Cyrus the king of Persia a message was revealed to Daniel.”

Who are the robbers of Daniels people during the time the angel was talking to him?

Dan 10:1 the Persians.

Who were the robbers before the Persians?

The Babylonians. Ezek 7:22

From these texts, we can see a picture evolving of the statue of different empires as in Dan 2.

Firstly the Babylonians. Secondly the Medo-Persians. Thirdly the Greeks and fourthly Rome.

What did they rob from Daniels people the Israelites?

Their homeland, Israel and Judah. They were deported from Israel to Babylon during the Babylonian captivity during 586 B.C. and before. When some returned from their captivity, they were subject to these powers by the paying of taxes.

According to Dan 2:40, and Dan 7:7.19, the power following Greece is Rome. Rome was a robber of Daniels people. However, the text says in Daniel 11:14 “sons” of the robbers of your people. They were not actually robbers but “sons” of them. This is the subject of the verse and not “robbers” as many theologians have concluded. So we have to find “sons” in the plural which came after Rome and who have fulfilled the vision. Which vision? The vision as a whole previously given in Dan 7: Dan 8: and Dan 9.

Where do we find a plural of powers which came after Rome and fell?

The ten tribes, which were the foundation of Europe are in the plural, but they did not all fall. There were only three tribes that fell, according to the vision. Dan 7:7.8. Dan 7:20.21.

Dan 7:23.24. These are the three kings Visigoths AD 508, Vandals AD 534, and Ostrogoths AD 538. These are the “sons” of the robbers coming after Rome. Therefore Dan 11:14 is referring to the starting point of the Little Horn power after subduing the three tribes: the “sons” of the robbers. This is also the starting point for the pronouns used for the Little Horn such as “he,” and “him” right through to verse 45.

Conclusion:

From this study, we can say that the little horn power is not mentioned as the king of the north, nor is it referring to the king of the south. The Little Horn has no name or symbol. The Little Horn power is referred to as only in the grammatical pronouns such as “he” and “him.” Why? It may be the same reason why the Roman Catholic Church system or the papacy is not mentioned by name in Rev 13:1-10.

Revelation 12:1-17 Who does the woman represent? https://www.ayindk.com/rev-121-17-2/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=rev-121-17-2 Fri, 01 Jan 2016 23:00:00 +0000 http://ayin.dk/?page_id=837 Rev 12:1. Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars.

Who is the woman?

In the Bible the word woman is a symbol of the Church of believers in God. This woman who represents believers, is married to Christ both in the Old and New Testament. Fx.

Jerm 3:14 Referring to the Israelites, Jeremiah writes, “Return, O backsliding children, says the Lord; for I am married to you.”

Is 54:5 (God is referring to those living in Jerusalem). “For your maker is your husband, the Lord of Hosts is his name; And your redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; He is called God of the whole earth. Verse 6. For the Lord has called you, like a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, like a youthful wife when you refused,” says your God.

Ezek 16:7.8. (God is referring to the inhabitants of Jerusalem). “you grew matured, and became very beautiful. Your breasts were formed, your hair grew, but you were naked and bare. When I passed by you again and looked upon you, indeed your time was the time of love; so I spread my wings over you and covered your nakedness, and entered into covenant with you and you became mine,” says the Lord God.

Hos 2:16. (God is referring to his people). “And it shall be in that day, says the Lord that you will call me `my husband´.”

Ephes 5:25. Husbands love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave himself for her.

Is 62:5. And as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall your God rejoice over you.

This chapter is full of symbols, so the woman represents the church of all believers. She is clothed with the sun of Christ´s righteousness. Malachi 4:2. Joh 8:12. The moon under her feet represents the churches enemies like the Devil and political leaders who work for him in Revelation chapter 12. 1 Cor 15:23-25. Rom 16:20. Malachi 4:3. The head garland on the woman is a “stephanos” in the Greek and represents a crown of victory, eternal life and glory. 1 Cor 9:25, 2 Tim 2:5, 1 Pet 5:4, Rev 6:2, Rev 14:14. There are twelve stars on the garland. Stars represent angels in Revelation e.g. Rev 1:20, 12:4. These angels look after the twelve spiritual tribes scattered abroad who are Christian believers. James 1:1. OK! The woman in this chapter represents the church of true believers in Christ from the time of Christ in the first century, to end of the 1260-year prophecy in 1798 A.D. Rev 12:6.14.

Rev 12:4. The dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her child as soon as it was born. In Rev 12:9 it says that the dragon is Satan and the Devil. (This text Rev 12:4 is referring to the time when Christ was born and Satan working through King Herod, tried to kill Christ at Bethlehem, however, Joseph and Mary made their escape to Egypt with the child).

What does one time, plus two times, plus a half time mean in prophecy?

Rev 12:6. Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days. (In prophetical writings, one day is equal to one year. Num 14:34, Eze 4:6. Therefore, when it says in the text “one thousand two hundred and sixty days” this means in prophecy 1,260 years. This figure is also equal to “a time, times and half a time” in Rev 12:14. When we add this figure up, we have one time plus two times plus half a time which equals 3½ times. One time is equal to 360 years in prophecy. So 3½ times is equal to 1,260 years. Therefore, these two verses in Rev 12: 6.14. reinforce each other in Biblical prophetical time. In addition, the 42 months in Rev 11:2.3. are also equal to 1,260 years in Biblical prophecy. If we times 42 months with 30 prophetical days for each month, this gives us 1,260 days or prophetic years. Hence, there is harmony in these calculations.

When does this woman flee into the wilderness away from the persecutions of Satan the dragon? During the Dark Middle Ages from AD 538 to 1798. This was when Satan worked through the papacy to persecute many millions of Roman Catholic believers in Christ. They tried to conform them to believe in the papacy and their authority to interpret the Bible. However, they would not be deterred; they read the Bible for themselves and became personal believers in Christ as their Savior. They were called Protestants, because they protested against the authority of the papacy to control their beliefs. As a result, over 100 million Roman Catholic Church members, were burnt at the stake for their beliefs and this included their children. This was then a Dark period for the church of believers. The woman being the Protestant church, was persecuted.

OK! Let us come to the last verse in Rev 12:17. And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. This is the last time we read of the woman as a symbol of the church. The Dark Middle ages have gone.

The persecutions have disappeared. Satan tries a new method of making war against the woman. This is enlarged in the message to the Laodicea church in Rev 3:14-22. This message to the Laodicean church, is the last message to the Christian church as a whole in all Christendom. From Rev 2: to Rev 3: is a description of the Christian church of all believers from the time of Christ to this present day in seven time periods of history. The Laodicean church is a description of the Protestant church worldwide, just before Christ´s Second Coming. What is the condition of this church? Christ says in Rev 3:15.16.17. I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot, I wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of my mouth. Because you say, I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing – and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind and naked.

Persecution did not work in the Middle Ages, so Satan changed his tactics and made Christians wealthy and their works became lukewarm, neither hot nor cold. Which means they are not on fire to proclaim the gospel or reject it. They are passive and only Christians by name and not by example. When Christ says that he will vomit them from his mouth, this indicates that the woman, the Protestant church as a whole is not acceptable to Christ. He has rejected the woman and she has changed her form and become a harlot, hence mixing with the world and believing in many false doctrines. The woman has ceased to exist as a church representing Christ on this earth. She no longer keeps the 10 commandments of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ as stated in Rev 12:17.

When did this change take place? After the Dark Middle Ages and before the Second Coming of Christ. The time period in history for the Laodicean church experience is now, in the present, and not in the future. The Protestant church as a whole has fallen from grace and Christ says I will vomit you out of my mouth.

Revelation 13:1-10 Who does this sea beast represent? https://www.ayindk.com/rev-131-10/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=rev-131-10 Sat, 02 Jan 2016 22:00:00 +0000 http://ayin.dk/?page_id=820 Rev 13:1.2. Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads blasphemous names. Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority.

What does sea mean in prophecy?

Daniel 7:2. Daniel spoke, saying, “I saw in my vision by night, and behold, the four winds of heaven were stirring up the great sea.

Is 57:20. But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.

How many beasts did Daniel see coming up from the great sea?

Daniel 7:3. And four great beasts came up from the sea, each different from the other.

What do the symbols of beast mean in prophecy?

Daniel 7:17. Those great beasts, which are four, are four kings/kingdoms, which arise out of the earth.

I would like to add further, that these beasts came up from the great sea and not from the shores of the great sea as many artists have depicted. What is the difference you may ask? Well in Rev 10:1.2., we have a picture of an angel who symbolizes Christ. The angel has one foot on the sea and one foot on the land. Therefore, one could say the angel is on the shore of the sea. This picture symbolizes that Christ has dominion and power over all the earth, the land and the sea. Rev 10:5.6.

However, the four beasts in Dan 7:3. Came up from the sea only, and not from the earth, the land and the sea. This means that the beasts came up from the most populated regions of the earth, which includes wicked peoples, multitudes, nations and tongues. This would include Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece and Rome. Therefore, I have not incorporated the traditional pictures of the beasts coming out of the shores of the sea. I am not an artist and therefore I am using normal pictures of a lion and a bear and you should use your imagination for the rest.

where else do we have a similar beast with ten horns in the Bible?

Dan 7:7.8. After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly great. It had huge iron teeth; it was devouring, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet. It was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns. I was considering the horns, and there was another horn, a little one, coming up among them, before whom three of the first horns were plucked out by the roots, And there, in this horn, were eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking pompous words.

(As we have studied in other words studies, the ten horns represent the ten early tribes of Europe. Three were plucked up e.g. Visigoths, Vandals and Ostrogoths. The little horn represents the papacy who was different from the ten political kingdoms because it was both political and religious. The beast in this text is the Roman Empire which was continued by the Holy Roman Empire being the Roman Catholic Church System. Notice that there are no seven heads on this beast as in the sea beast in Rev 13:1. This is because the ten horns representing the ten early tribes of Europe are just beginning, and the seven heads representing the seven religious heads or worldwide church denominations have not yet been formed).

O.K! We have found out from our word study that beasts in prophecy are symbols of super world empires like Babylon, Medio-Persia, Grecian and Roman Empire. The sea beast in Rev 13:1 is also a super world empire both religious, political and financial. This beast came out of the sea, just like the other beasts in Dan 7:3. The sea represents the wicked nations of the earth. Isaiah 57:20 But the wicked are like the troubled sea.

Rev 13:1.2. Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads

Rev 13:1. This sea beast has seven heads.

A word study to determine what heads mean in the prophetic writings of the Bible.

Rev 17:9. The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits.

Rev 17:10. These (seven heads) are also seven kings.

Rev 17:11 The beast (Satan) is himself also the eighth and of the seven (heads).

Rev 13:1. The seven heads coming out of the sea beast are similar in power and authority to the seven heads on scarlet beast which is Satan in Rev 17:3.

Dan 7:6.  And after this I looked, and there was another like a leopard, which had on its back four wings of a bird. The beast also had four heads and dominion was given to it. (The leopard beast is a symbol of the Grecian empire 331-168 B.C. and the four heads represent the four generals who took over from Alexander the Great. These kingdoms although they were military powers, also had a Hellenistic mythological influence on the world.).

Dan 2:37.38. You O King , are a king of kings. For the God of heaven has given you a kingdom, power, strength and glory; and wherever the children of men dwell, or the beasts of the field and the birds of the heaven, He has given them into your hand, and has made you ruler over them all – you are the head of gold. (King Nebuchadnezzar was the head of the political and spiritual empire of Babylon Dan 7:1-4. His kingdom was the symbol of a lions head).

Rev 4:4. Around the throne were 24 thrones, and on the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white robes and they had crowns of gold on their heads. (These are the spiritual advisers and representatives redeemed from the earth. Math 27:51-53).

Rev 9:7. The shape of the locusts were like horses prepared for battle. On their heads were crowns of something like gold, and their faces were like faces of men. (This verse implies military  and religious persecutions with crowns of “Stefenoi” as a symbol of victory).

Rev 9:17. The heads of the horses were like the heads of lions.

Rev 9:19.20. For their tails are like serpents having heads; and with them they do harm. But the rest of mankind who were not killed by these plagues did not repent of the works of their hands –.

Rev 12:1. A woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars. (Twelve stars are twelve angels of the twelve churches, which are scattered abroad. Rev 1:20. James 1:1. ).

Rev 12:3. Behold a great fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on his heads. (The fiery red dragon represents Satan in Rev 12:9 and he has authority over the political powers in Europe and on the earth. Satan has also authority over the spiritual heads of the worldwide churches.

Who are the heads of these worldwide churches, which have fallen?

When looking on the internet under Google type, “List of Christian denominations by number of members,” and then look under Wikipedia; there is a list of the seven largest churches in the world:

1. Church of the east: 0.6 million.

2. Restoration and Non-Trinitarianism: 42-48 million.

3. Anglicanism: 85 million.

4. Oriental Orthodoxy: 86 million.

5. Eastern Orthodoxy: 225-300 million.

6. Protestantism: 800 million.

7. Roman Catholicism: 1.2 Billion.

Heads of these fallen churches can mean one person like a pope, archbishop or patriarch.

Rev 13:3. And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. (The beast here is the Roman Catholic Church, and one of its heads is the papacy signifying religious and political power).

Rev 14:14. I looked and behold a white cloud, and on the cloud sat one like the Son of Man having on his head a golden crown and in his hand a sharp sickle. (This is Christ having authority to harvest the world of believers).

Rev 17:3. And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. (The woman is the harlot representing the fallen churches worldwide and the seven heads are the representative heads of these fallen churches worldwide).

Rev 17:9. The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits. (Mountains are a symbol of political or religious kingdoms, (Dan 2:44.45), which these seven heads of the worldwide churches are).

Ps 18:43. You have made me the head of the nations. A people I have not known shall serve me. (King David was the spiritual and political leader of the Israelite kingdom).

Ps 27:6. And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me. (King David talking about his power over his enemies).

Ps 60:7. Gilead is mine and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the helmet for my head, Judah is my lawgiver. (King David is saying that Ephraim is a helmet, a protection for his power).

Ps 68:21. But God will wound the head of his enemies. (Leaders and power of his enemies).

Is 7:8. For the head of Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin. The head of Samaria and the head of Samaria is Remliah´s son. (Head refers to political and spiritual leaders).

Is 59:17. For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on his head. (Head is related to salvation as a means of protection).

Mic 2:13. Their king will pass before them with the Lord at their head. (Spiritual leader).

Mic 3:1. Hear now O heads of Israel and you rulers of the house of Israel. (Spiritual and political rulers of Israel).

Mark 12:10. The stone which the builders rejected, has become the head cornerstone. (This is referring to Christ as the head of all spiritual believers).

Acts 18:6. Your blood be upon your own heads. (Paul speaking to the Jews who rejected his gospel message. They will receive their punishment from the decision they made from their heads).

1 Cor 11:3. The head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God. (This text is referring to spiritual heads).

Ephes 1:22. And gave him to be head over all things to the church. (Christ is the head of the Church on earth).

Ephes 4:15. May grow up in all things into him who is the head – Christ. (Context is the body of Christ verse 12, which is the church and Christ is the head).

Ephes 5:23. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the Church – – -. (Christ is the spiritual head of the Church).

Col 1:18. And he is the head of the body, the church. (Spiritual head of the Church).

Col 2:10. And you are complete in him, who is the head of all principality and power. (Christ is the head of all powers in the heavens and on earth).

Conclusion

The word “head” is related to the following: Seven heads are seven mountains. Seven heads are seven kings/kingdoms. The scarlet beast in Rev 17: (Satan) is the eighth and of the seventh head. Seven heads on the sea beast in Rev 13:1-3. Are the same as the seven heads on the scarlet beast in Rev 17: The four heads from the leopard beast in Dan 7: representing the kingdom of Greece,  has a combined political and a mythological influence.  King Nebuchadnezzar was the political and spiritual head of the Babylonian empire. Dan 2:37.38.The head is where the intelligence is situated, and is where moral and spiritual decisions are determined. Spiritual advisers. Crowns on heads symbolizes military victory. Serpent heads do harm. The woman in Rev 12: (The pure church) has a garland of twelve stars on her head symbolizing twelve angels of the twelve churches in the diaspora.

How shall we interpret heads symbolically in the Bible?

The mortally wounded head on the sea beast in Rev 13:1-3 represents the papacy as a political and religious power in the Roman Catholic Church. A golden crown on the head of Christ represents the authority to harvest the world of believers. The seven heads on the scarlet beast in Rev 17: represent the seven heads of the fallen churches worldwide. The seven heads in Rev 17: are seven mountains representing religious kingdoms Fx Dan 2:44.45. King David was the political and spiritual head of the Israelite kingdom. Head signifies power and protection. Head is related to salvation. Spiritual and political rulers. Christ is the head of all spiritual believers. Spiritual decisions. Christ is the head of the pure church on earth. Christ is the head of the body of the church. Christ is the head of all powers in the heavens and on the earth.

The dragon in Rev 12: represents Satan who has authority over the seven heads representing the seven heads of the worldwide fallen church.  The figure “seven” denotes completeness and seven entities in the book of Revelation. It so happens that there is a list of the seven largest churches worldwide.

(Satan is of the  seventh).

8. Satan: rules over all the churches of the world.

Heads of these fallen churches can mean a pope, archbishop, patriarch or spiritual governing body.

The beast with the seven heads indicate that this beast is a religious institution, because the seven largest churches in the world have sprung from this beast. What is the name of this religious institution? It is the papacy combined with Jesuits in the Roman Catholic Church system. This Church is where all Christian churches of today have evolved from. Because the seven heads are still part of the beast, this indicates that the Roman Catholic Church system has still influence over these churches even though they have separated from the mother church.

Rev 13:1.2. Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns,

What do horns mean in Bible prophecy?

(The four horn kingdoms that followed Alexander the Great are Cassander, Lysimachus, Seleucus and Ptolemy).

Dan 8:23-25. (The little horn represents the papacy, a spiritual and political power in the Roman Catholic Church in this text). And in the latter time of their (the four kingdoms of Greece) kingdom, when the transgressors have reached their fullness, a king shall rise, having fierce features, who understands sinister schemes. His power shall be mighty, but not by his own power; He shall destroy fearfully, and shall prosper and thrive; he shall destroy the mighty, and also the holy people. Through his cunning deceit to prosper under his rule, and he shall exalt himself in his heart. He shall destroy many in their prosperity. He shall even rise against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without human means.

And I looked and behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth. (Seven horns are seven spirits of God).

Rev 9:13. Then the sixth angel sounded: And I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God. (The four horns on the golden altar before God is the altar of incense. These (ten horn kings) are of one mind and they will give their power and authority to the beast. Verse 14. These will make war with the Lamb – – -. (These ten horns originate from the ten early tribes of Europe because the majority of  Christians lived in Europe , but the geographical situation changes to the whole world in this text because Christians live all around the world. And all nations will make war with the Lamb: Christ at Armageddon).

Rev 17:16. And the ten horns which you saw on the beast, these will hate the harlot, make her desolate and naked, eat her flesh and burn her with fire. (The ten horns or political kings of the earth will make war with the harlot, being the fallen church of all denominations all over the earth).

Conclusion

Horn is related to the following: The ten early tribes of Europe. The little horn represents the papacy. The little horn plucked up three horns (representing three tribes of early Europe: Visigoths, Vandals and Ostrogoths), it had eyes of a man and a mouth speaking pompous words. The little horn made war against the saints during the Middle Ages. The ten horns are ten kings. The little horn is different from the ten kings, because it is both religious and political. The little horn (the papacy) shall change times and laws Fx the Sabbath to Sunday in Gods ten commandments. The little horn shall reign 1,260 prophetical years (538-1798 A.D.) The goat with the notable horn is Alexander the Great of Greece. The goat´s large horn (Alexander the Great) was broken and four horns (Cassander, Seleucus, Ptolemy and Lysimachus) stood in its place. The little horn (papacy) exalted himself as high as the Prince of Host and took away the daily sacrifice and the sanctuary truth was cast to the ground. The four kings of the goat are four kingdoms. The two horns on the ram in Dan 8: represent Medo-Persia.

How shall we interpret horns symbolically in the Bible?

The horn is a power of strength and salvation. Seven horns are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth. The four horns on the golden altar before God. The fiery red dragon in Rev 12: represents Satan who has authority over ten horns relating to political powers in Europe. The beast (Roman Catholic Church system) in Rev 13: has authority over the ten horns with crowns signifying the church has the power to guide the European powers on earth and through out the whole world. The beast with two horns like a lamb represents the two Christ like political powers in the USA, having political and military strength but speaks like the Dragon (Satan).

The ten horns in Rev 17: are ten kings, who have authority to reign with the scarlet beast (Satan), and make war with the Lamb (Christ at Armageddon). The harlot sat on a beast (Satan) with ten horns representing the political and powers of the world. These ten horns (in Rev 17:) are ten kings who receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast who is Satan. These ten kings will hate the harlot (the fallen worldwide church) and make her desolate and naked.

The horn of Moab is cut off (military power). The horn of David shall grow (strength and power). The Lord is the horn of my salvation and my stronghold.

Summary: The horn in prophecy is a symbol of political and military power guided by kings and kingdoms. The exception to this rule is the little horn, which is different; it is both a political and a religious power. The ten horns are part of the sea beast in Rev 13: and the scarlet beast in Rev 17: The ten horns representing the political powers of the world, form some kind of conglomerate with the worldwide church, the papacy and the protestants in the USA, to fight Christ at the war of Armageddon.

Who do the 10 horns represent in this chapter?

This beast has also ten horns. These ten horns in prophecy represent the ten early tribes of Europe:

  1. Ostrogoths.
  2. Visigoths.
  3. Franks.
  4. Vandal.
  5. Suevi.
  6. Alamanni.
  7. Anglo Saxons.
  8. Heruli.
  9. Lombards.
  10. Burgundians.

These ten horns are part of the beast indicating that the Roman Catholic Church System has authority over these European powers. How? We shall discuss this later on in Rev 17:

On the ten horns are ten crowns or ten diadems. In the Greek, diadem is “diadaimata” and means kingly crowns. This reinforces the interpretation that these ten horns are political powers who have the same authority has kings to govern the land.

On its heads were blasphemous names. The seven heads are the seven largest Christian churches in the world. But now we find out that they are not pure churches, but are fallen churches, because they have names of blasphemy on their heads.

Rev 13:1.2. Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads blasphemous names.

Conclusion

The word blaspheme is related to the following: Speak impiously of God. Against the Holy Spirit. Curse the name of God. Power to forgive sins. Breaking the law. Rejecting faith and a good conscience. Honor a slave´s master and Gods doctrine of godliness. Word of God. Denying the name of Jesus Christ. Claiming to be the Son of God. The tabernacle of God and those who dwell in heaven. The beast from the sea who ruled for 1,260 years during the Middle Ages. Opposing the Bible, the gospel and God. Jews say they keep the commandments of God put practice the opposite in their lives. Rejecting faith and a good conscience. Christians say they are believers but practice otherwise in their lives. Negative words against Moses and God. Sin is related to blasphemy. Persecuting Christ and his followers. Words and a form of godliness but denying its power. Contradicting Gods words. Denying Christ. Refusing to keep the law of God. Refusing to keep the Ten Commandments. Excuse not to believe in God. Lies in God’s name. Making oneself God. False Christian believers. The power to forgive sins is belongs to God only.

These definitions give an overview of what blasphemy means from a Bible word study. They also reinforce that the seven heads are fallen churches in Gods eyes.

Rev 13:2. Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion.

Where do the pictures of these beasts come from in the Bible? They come from Dan 7:3-6. The sea beast from Rev 13:1 looked like a leopard, which represented the Grecian empire. Out of the Grecian empire came Hellenism, which had everything to do with learning in Europe, Greek history, Greek language, Greek culture and Greek mythology pertaining to many mythological gods. The sea beast had feet like a bear. The feet of a bear in Dan 7:3-6 represents the Medo-Persian Empire. The feet represent speed when running after its prey and the claws on the feet represent that the victim is clawed and mauled to death in a cruel fashion. The mouth of a lion represents the Babylonian Empire. When a lion roars with its mouth, then all the beasts of the forest become afraid. When a lion attacks its victim, it devours with its mouth.

A short word study on the word lion in the book Revelation.

Rev 4:7. (The four living creatures in the midst of the throne in heaven and around the throne). The first living creature was a lion.

Rev 5:5. Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals. (This lion represents Christ).

Rev 9:8. They had hair like women´s hair, and their teeth were like lion´s teeth. (Refers to Moslem soldiers in the Ottoman Empire going to war against their enemies. They crush their enemies like a lion crushes its prey).

Rev 10:1-3. I saw still another mighty angel coming down from heaven, clothed with a cloud. And a rainbow was on his head, his face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire. He had a book in his hand. And he set his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land, and cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roars. (This mighty angel is Christ and raises his voice like a lion).

Rev 13:2. (A beast coming out of the sea). Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. (The sea beast represents the papacy in the Roman Catholic Church system all around the world. When they talk like a lion the nations tremble because of their power and authority).

Conclusion

Lion represents Christ in prophecy, then power, Moslem soldiers at war against their enemies, Christ with a loud voice of authority, and the papacy in the Roman Catholic Church system who talk with a religious  power and authority to cause nations to tremble.

These are the traits, which the sea beast has developed over the years. Hellenism from the Grecian Empire, speed and cruel deaths from the Medo-Persian Empire, and nations become afraid of the roaring lion who devours everything that stands in its way. These are the traits that the papacy in the Roman Catholic Church system has developed over the years. The majority of the members are oblivious over what is happening behind the scenes of this worldwide church. But there is a powerful group of men operating behind the cloak of this church, and their main aim is, to retrieve their lost dominion and that is, power over the whole of the world: The Holy Roman Empire. Who are these men? The Jesuits.

Who are the Jesuits?

Ignatius Loyola

Ignatius Loyola founded the dedicated and powerful Society of Jesus (the Jesuits). Ignatius a Spanish nobleman was born in 1491 or 1495 at the castle of Loyola near the Pyrenees. His career as a professional soldier ended with a leg wound in 1521. Through reading lives of Christ and the saints while convalescing, Loyola resolved to become Christ´s soldier. He hung up his sword at the altar of Mary in Montserrat. Ignatius then spent a year (1522-23) in prayer and meditation at Manresa monastery, seeking total consecration to Christ. He was much blessed. Here he drafted his Spiritual Exercises. Between 1524 and 1534 Loyola studied at Barcelona, Alcala, Salamanca and Paris preparing for service. Then he and six friends vowed to practice poverty and celibacy to make a pilgrimage to Jerusalem (this never came off), and to give the rest of their lives to apostolic labors. In this way, the Society of Jesus began. “Jesuits”, as its members were called, vowed total obedience to the pope as, in effect, Commander-in-chief, and under him to the general of the order. Ignatius, a fine organizer, was general until his death in 1556[1].

By 1556 there were over a thousand Jesuits-mainly in Spain. Portugal and Italy, but also in France, Germany, the Low Countries, India, Brazil and Africa. By 1626 there were 15,544, and during the next 130 years the Jesuits grew slowly but steadily. Jesuits were working in almost every corner of the globe.

Jesuits reached a peak of 36,038 members in 1964. – – -. During the seventeenth and early eighteenth century a high percentage of the educated Catholic people of Europe passed through Jesuit schools.- – -. Today, the Jesuits run about 4,000 schools, including eighteen universities in the United States[2].

Though the Jesuit society spread rapidly in Italy, Spain, and Portugal, it was slower in gaining strong foothold in France and Germany, but by the latter half of the sixteen century, it was the advance-guard of the Counter-Reformation. Its chief agencies were preaching, the confessional, its excellent schools-not for the multitudes, but for the well-born and well-to-do[3].

As against his own subjects, Louis XIV`s policy was determined by his conception of national unity and Jesuit influence, especially after his marriage to Madame de Maintenon in 1684; in 1685 he revoked the Edict of Nantes, and made Protestantism illegal under the severest penalties. The ultimate result was disastrous for France. Thousands of its most industrious citizens emigrated to England, Holland, Germany, and America – – -. For France the expulsion of the Huguenots and the triumph of the Jesuits were great misfortunes.

The latter half of the eighteenth century brought to the Jesuits their greatest catastrophe – – -. A large part of the French clergy were also hostile to the Jesuits. In 1764 the Jesuits were suppressed in France. Spain and Naples expelled them in 1767. The rulers of these lands now forced from Pope Clement XIV (1769-1774) the abolition of the order in July, 1773[4].

The tremendous storm of the French Revolution was about to break and to sweep away the church, with the nobility, the throne, and kindred ancient institutions. The Revolutionary leaders were filled with the rationalistic spirit. They viewed the churches as religious clubs. In 1789 church lands were declared national property. In 1790 the monasteries were abolished.

Then in 1793 came a royalist and Catholic uprising in La Vendee and in retaliation, the Jacobin leaders sought to wipe out Christianity. Hundreds of ecclesiastics were beheaded. After the “terror” was over, in 1795, religious freedom was once proclaimed, through the state, as such, was to be without religion – – -. In 1798 Rome was made a republic by French arms, and Pope Pius VI (1775-1799) carried a prisoner to France, where he died.

The military events of 1800 led to the election of Pius VII (1800-1823) and the restoration of the states of the Church. Napoleon, on attaining power, though himself without religious feeling, recognized that a majority of the French people were Roman Catholic, and that the church might be used by him. The result was the Concordat with the papacy in 1801 and the Organic Articles of 1802.

Napoleon

Napoleon, crowned Emperor by the pope in 1804, soon quarreled with Pius VII, annexed the States of the Church in 1809, and held the pope a prisoner from that time till 1814 – – -. Napoleon´s downfall in 1815 was followed by universal reaction – – -. The papacy profited by all these impulses and soon developed a strength greater that it had shown for a hundred years. A characteristic evidence of this new position of the papacy was restoration, by Pius VII, in August, 1814, of the Jesuits, who speedily regained their old ascendancy in papal counsels[5].

If you look in Dan 11:40 www.ayin.dk under the heading “Who are the Jesuits?” You will find a modern update explanation that fits in our day and age. We find that the Jesuits are not a fictitious group of people named under a conspiracy theory like many advocate. They are the backbone of the Roman Catholic Church and they answer only to the Black Pope and him alone, who has the highest authority in the church.

Rev 13:2. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority.

Who does the dragon represent in Rev 13:2?

Rev 12:17 The dragon was enraged with the woman and he went to make war with rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Rev 12:3. And another sign appeared in heaven, behold a great fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on his heads.

Rev 12:4. His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her child as soon as it was born.    (Refers to Satan who led king Herod to kill all the infants in Bethlehem in an attempt to kill the child Jesus Christ. Math 2:16-18).

Rev 12:5. She bore a child. (Refers to the child Christ).

Rev 12:6. The woman (the protestant church) fled into the wilderness for 1,260 days. Rev 12:13.14. The dragon persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male child. But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for e time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent.

Rev 12:7. And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought. (Michael is another name for Christ, and the dragon is Satan).

Rev 12:9. So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Rev 13:3.4. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. So they worshipped the dragon who gave authority to the beast, (in Rev 13:1.2.)

Rev 13:11. The beast (USA) he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon (Satan).

Rev 16:13. And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

Conclusion

The dragon in prophetic writings is without a doubt the Devil or Satan working through political and religious institutions. The scarlet beast is Satan. Satan comes out of the bottomless pit. Satan worked through the papacy and the leaders of the French revolution to destroy the Bible and all true Christians in France. Satan is bound for 1,000 years on this earth after Christ´s second coming. The beast in Rev 13:3.8. and the Dragon in Rev 12:3. Are related to one another through the seven heads and the ten horns. Satan himself is the beast in Rev 17:3. Satan is related to the beast in Rev 13:1. and the beast in Rev 13:11. Satan himself is the beast in Rev 17:3.8. Satan is the Dragon in Rev 12:3.9.

Who gave the sea beast in Rev 13:1 his power, his thrown and great authority? The Bible says it is the Devil or Satan who is behind this religious world empire. And he is using this church to deceive the whole world by going against the Holy Bible, the word of God.

Who does the wounded head represent in this text?

Rev 13:3. And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast.

The head is not the beast and the beast is not the head in this text. The head is part of the seven heads coming from the beast. The seven heads are representing the seven heads of the largest churches in the world as mentioned in Rev 13:1. This head, which was mortally wounded, is the papacy, the spiritual head of the Roman Catholic church.

Even so the head was mortally wounded, it did not mean the end of the Roman Catholic Church system around the the world. This beast was still alive and thriving.

The beast represents the Roman Catholic Church System all over the world and is ruled by the papacy. The seven heads of different Christian churches come from the beast: the Roman Catholic Church System. One of its heads refers to the beasts’ heads and is the papacy i.e., The pope.

Where in the history of the papacy do we find a pope who seems to be slaughtered to death, and his deadly wound was healed?

When was this papal head mortally wounded?

Pope Pius VI

In 1798, Rome was made a republic by the French. On the 15 Feb, 1798, General Bertier at the head of the French army, entered Rome, declared the political rule of the papacy at an end, and took Pope Pius VI (1775-1799) a prisoner to France, where he soon died in July, 1799. Furthermore, Napoleon realizing that the majority of the French people were Roman Catholics, thought that he could use the church for his political policies, made use of a Concordat between him and the papacy. However, Napoleon crowned Emperor by the pope in 1804, soon quarreled with Pius VII, annexed the States of the Church in 1809, and held the pope a prisoner from that time till 1814 – – -. Napoleon´s downfall in 1815 was followed by universal reaction – – -. The papacy profited by all these impulses and soon developed a strength greater that it had shown for a hundred years. A characteristic evidence of this new position of the papacy was restoration, by Pius VII, in August, 1814; of the Jesuits, who speedily regained their old ascendancy in papal counsels.

“A significant event occurred in 1929 when the Lateran Treaty restored temporal power to the pope, who was given the rule of the Vatican City, a section of the city of Rome about 108.7 acres in extent.[6]” So the papacy, was mortally wounded by Napoleon, but this wound was healed over time and the papacy gained strength with the help of the Jesuits.

And the whole world marveled and followed the beast.

We must remember that the head is not the beast and the beast is not the head. The papacy is not the Roman Catholic Church, it is part of a system governing the Roman Catholic Church. So, when the whole world marveled and followed the beast, we are talking about the  Roman Catholic Church system as a whole. This part of the Bible prophecy is to be fulfilled in the future, because the whole world does not follow the beast as of yet.

Rev 13:3. the whole world marveled and followed the beast.

The whole world includes China and Russia, but they do not follow the beast. So what does the whole world mean in this passage?

In the Greek it says not the whole world but the whole earth “γή – gay.”

The whole earth can have different meanings judging according to the context of the text. Fx.

Rev 14:7. Worship him that made heaven and earth. (This would mean where worshippers of God lived in the world).

Rev 7:1. Standing on the four corners of the earth. (This would mean the whole earth 100%).

Rev 12:16. The earth helped the woman. (This would mean a local place on the earth. The woman who represents the Protestant church which was persecuted by the papacy and escaped to countries like Holland, England and North America).

Rev 13:11. Another beast coming up out of the earth. (This would mean the beast representing the USA coming from the land of North America).

Rev 13:8. All that dwell on the earth shall worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life. (This would mean the whole of the world).

In Rev 13:3 when looking at the context, the whole world refers to where the Roman Catholic papacy has ruled during the 42 months (538-1798) that is during the Middle ages. Rev 13:5. They ruled the whole of Europe.

Conclusion

After the papal head was wounded in 1798 the whole world followed the beast. That is to say after the Dark Middle Ages the whole world followed the beast which repesents the papacy in the Roman Catholic Chuech system. How?

How can the USA, the nations in Europe, Russia and China follow the beast. He who controls the worlds finances controls the worlds political nations. To understand what I mean read my understanding of the text Revelation 13:18 about the meaning of the figures 666. It is the papacy who controls the worlds finances along with worlds millionaires who belong to an elite group of men who want to dominate the world.

Rev 13:4. So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?”

The dragon is Satan who gave authority to the beast who is the papacy in the Roman Catholic Church system. Many peoples of the world will come to worship and be members of the Roman Catholic Church in the future because of the following events in this chapter. Who is able to make war with him? Describes how it is impossible to make war with the most largest, religious, financial and political institution in the world. No nation will even try to make war with the Roman Catholic Church system. Not even Putin from Russia.

Who does the dragon represent in this text?

Rev 12:9. So the dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world.

Who is the beast a symbol of in this text?

The papacy in the Roman Catholic Church System.

Who are “they” who worshipped the beast? They would mean all people in the world whether they want to or not. If a church controls your bank account, you bow down and worship the papacy in the Roman Catholic Church System whether you like it or not.

Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?

The beast is the papacy in the Roman Catholic Church System. Because the papacy is both a religious, a political power, and a financial power, no country on earth can make war with the papacy. The papacy can make dogmas enforcing a whole nation to their knees when they withhold the last rights at a funeral, withhold the blessings from a pope to a king or control a country´s finances.

Rev 13:5. And he was given a mouth speaking things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to make war for forty-two months.

What does “speaking great things” in prophecy mean?

Daniel 7:11. I watched then because of the sound of the pompous words which the horn (The papacy) was speaking; I watched till the beast was slain, and its body destroyed and given to the burning flame.

Daniel 7:20. And the ten horns that were on its head, and the other horn which came up, before which three fell, namely, that horn which had eyes and a mouth which spoke pompous words, whose appearance was greater than his fellows. (The ten horns are a symbol of the ten tribes of Europe. The three horns which fell are: The Vandals in 534, the Ostrogoths in 538 and the Visigoths in 508. These three tribes believed in the Arian theology, that is that Jesus Christ was a created being and did not exist with God from eternity. The little horn a symbol of the papacy came up after these three tribes fell).

Daniel 7:25. He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, he shall persecute the saints of the Most High, and shall think to change times and law. Then the saints shall be given into his hand for a time and times and half a time. (1,260 years = 538-1798 referring to the papal reign during the Middle Ages. The papacy changed God´s law of the Ten Commandments by deleting the Sabbath day and doubling the covet commandment).

“Therefore, the decision of the pope and the decision of God constitutes one decision. The pope alone is said to be the vicar of God; wherefore only what is bound and loosed by Him is held to be bound and loosed by God himself.”[8]

“The pope is of so great authority and power that he can modify, explain or interpret even divine laws (Change of the sabbath day).”[9]

As regards to the persecution of the saints, over 50 million Roman Catholic members of the church were killed because they protested against the papacy and believed in the Bible during the Middle Ages. www.cs.unc.edu/-plaisted/estimates.html on Google.

Papacy: The system of ecclesiastical government in which supreme authority is vested in the pope.[10]

The priests forgive sins of which this prerogative lies with God alone. Mark 2:7.[11]

Canon 1: If any one saith, that in the mass a true and proper sacrifice is not offered to God; or, that to be offered is nothing else but that Christ is given to eat; let him be anathema. Canon 2: If anyone says Christ did not institute the apostle’s priests; or, did not ordain that they and other priests should offer his own body and blood; let him be anathema.[12]

We therefore confess that the Sacrifice of the Mass is and ought to be considered one and the same sacrifice as that of the cross, for the victim is one and the same, namely, Christ our Lord. Thus (the priests) acting in the Person of Christ the Lord, he changes the substance of bread and wine into the true substance of His body and blood. “Catechism of the Council of Trent for Parish Priests.”[13]

Dan 7:25. He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, shall persecute the saints of the Most High, and shall intend to change times and law.

As regards to the persecution of the saints, over 50 million were killed by the papacy during the Middle Ages. See my websites www.ayin.dk and www.ayindk.com

Rev 13:11. Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. (The beast coming out of the earth is a symbol of the USA in North America. The dragon is a symbol of Satan or the Devil Rev 12:9. When this nation speaks like Satan it will have the power to persecute dissenters who disagree with their policies of belief e.g., Rev 13:12-18).

Rev 13:15. He (USA) was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast (papacy), that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. (USA and the papacy shall take part in a union to persecute the saints who keep the Ten Commandments of God and the faith of Jesus Christ Rev 12:17. 14:12. The image to the beast is related to the opposite of those who keep the Ten Commandments of God and the faith of Jesus Christ i.e., Sunday worship with the papacy at the head of all Christian churches in the new worlds order).

Conclusion

“Speaking” in prophecy is related to laws backed up with persecution, with the intent of destroying those who refuse to obey religious edicts from the USA. The USA will speak like a dragon using laws and persecution against those who refuse to bow down to her policies introducing false worship. The papacy introduced laws persecuting the saints during the Middle Ages and over 50 million members of the Roman Catholic Church were killed because they believed in the Bible and not the pope’s false religious doctrines. The papacy spoke pompous words against the Most High God by using God´s authority and saying he is the vicar of God on earth and God´s decision and the pope´s decision are the same.

Rev 13:5. And was given to him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemy.

What does “speaking blasphemy” mean in the Bible?

Matthew 9:3. And once some of the scribes said within themselves, “This man blasphemes!”

Matthew 9:2. Then behold, they brought to him a paralytic lying om a bed. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Son be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you.”

Then the scribes accused Christ of blasphemy. Why? Because he forgave sins which is the prerogative of only God can do. Mark 2:7. Why does this man speak blasphemies like this? Who can forgive sins but God alone?

In this text Christ was revealing to the scribes that he was God.

This study on blasphemy is fully written out in Rev 13: 1. on this page.

Conclusion

The word blasphemy in short is referring to the power to forgive sins which is the prerogative of God only. The papacy in the Roman Catholic church use this power when priests and the papacy forgive the sins of their members.

Rev 13:6. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his dwelling and those in heaven.

This verse gives us the exact proof of that the beast is referring to the Roman Catholic Church system by comparing the prophecies of the book of Daniel with the book of Revelation. In Daniel 7:25 it says: He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, shall persecute the saints of the Most High, and shall intend to change times and law. Then the saints shall be given into his hand for a time and times and half a time.

Rev 13:6. Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, his tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven.

What does “dwelling” mean in the Bible?

In the Greek the word is σκηνήν = a dwelling or tabernacle.

Matthew 17:4. Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, “Lord it is good for us to be here; if you wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.

Acts 7:42.43. Did you offer me slaughtered animals and sacrifices during forty years in the wilderness, O house of Israel? You also took up the tabernacle of Moloch and the star of your god Remphan, images which you made to worship. (Place for worshipping a false god).

Acts 7:44. Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness, as he appointed, instructing Moses to make it according to the pattern that he had seen. (Refers to the tabernacle place of worship for the Israelites in the wilderness).

Acts 15:16. After this I will return and will rebuild the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down; I will rebuild its ruins, and I will set it up; so the rest of mankind may seek the Lord, even all the Gentiles who are called by my name – – -. (This refers to the house or lineage of David. Christ came from the house of David. Gentiles will seek the Lord when the gospel is preached to them).

Hebrews 8:1.2. We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, a minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle which the Lord erected, and not man. (The heavenly sanctuary where Christ is our High Priest. Heb 4:14).

Hebrews 9:2-4. (Greek). For a tabernacle was prepared: the first part, in which were the lampstand, the table, and the showbread, which is called the Holy Place; and behind the second veil, the part of the tabernacle which is called the Holy of Holies, which had the golden altar and the ark of the covenant having been covered round on all sides with gold, in which a jar golden having the manna and the rod of Aaron the one having budded and the tablets of the covenant – – -.

Hebrews 9:6.7. The priests always went into the first part of the tabernacle, performing services. But into the second part the high priest went alone once a year, not without blood, which he offered for himself and for the people´s sins committed of ignorance.

Hebrews 9:21.22. Both the tabernacle and all the vessels of the service he sprinkled with blood. And almost all things are cleansed according to the law, and without shedding of blood there is no remission of sins. (After the earthly sanctuary in Jerusalem ceased to exist in God´s eyes at the crucifixion of Christ, the sanctuary was transferred to heaven and dedicated there with Christ´s blood. Matt 27:51).

Hebrews 11:9. (Abraham). By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise.

Revelation 15:5. After these things I looked, and behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened. (Heavenly sanctuary).

Revelation 21:3. Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men and he will dwell with them and they shall be his people.

Conclusion

Tabernacle or dwelling is related to the following: dwelling place for men, place for worshipping false god´s, the earthly tabernacle or sanctuary in the wilderness, the lineage and house of David, the heavenly sanctuary where Christ is High Priest, the tabernacle with the first apartment the Holy Place containing lampstand, table of showbread, The Most Holy apartment containing the golden altar (on the day of atonement and up in heaven), ark of the covenant, golden jar of manna, rod of Aaron and the tablets of covenant. The tabernacle of God is with men in heaven.

How does the papacy blaspheme God, his name, his tabernacle and those who dwell in heaven?

How does the papacy blaspheme God? In the book Daniel A Readers Guide, it says “(The Bishop of Rome) took the title, “Vicar of the Son of God,” meaning that he stood in place of the Son of God to represent Him here on earth. Compare also the title of “holy father” with Jesus’ comments about the use of that title in a religious setting in Matthew 23:9. Note too, Jesus´s claim to be God and have the power to forgive sins, was blasphemy in the eyes of the Jews. (see Matthew 9:2-6).[7]

How does the papacy blaspheme Gods’ tabernacle? 2 Thess 2:3.4. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshipped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

In the book Great Controversy page 55, “The accession of the Roman Church to power marked the beginning of the Dark Ages. As her power increased, the darkness deepened. Faith was transferred from Christ, the true foundation, to the pope of Rome. Instead of trusting in the Son of God for forgiveness of sins and for eternal salvation, the people looked to the pope, and to the priests and prelates to whom he delegated authority. They were taught that the pope was their earthly mediator and that none could approach God except through him; and further, that he stood in the place of God to them and was therefore to be implicitly obeyed.”

Forgiveness of sins, was transferred from the tabernacle in heaven Heb 8:1.2. Heb 4:14-16., from Christ as our High Priest, to the pope and his priests on earth. This is blasphemy in the eyes of God and the Bible.

Rev 13:7. It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue and nation.

Sct. Bartholomew´s day massacre 24 August, 1572.

The problem with this text is, which period of time are we talking about? The Dark Middle Ages where over 50 million Roman Catholic believers were killed by the papacy or does this refer to a future event as described in Rev 16:12-16 the battle of Armageddon.

In Dan 7:25 It says about the Little Horn (Dan 7:8.24) “He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, shall persecute the saints of the Most High.” The papacy at this point of time during the Dark Middle Ages did not have all authority granted to it. However, in Rev 13:7 the papacy had all the authority and power in the world to administer persecutions against the saints of the Most High. Furthermore, the papacy has authority over every tribe, tongue and nation. This the papacy has never had before. Therefore, it is applying to a future event, when the papacy has control over the whole of the world.

The word granted or given is “edothay” in the Greek. This means that the papacy has not the power to make war with the saints without it being given to him from another authority. The first authority is direct from the dragon or Satan. Rev 13:4. Another authority has to come from the ten horns (political authorities of the world) and from the seven heads (religious authorities of the world) before one goes into the war of Armageddon. So this part of the Bible prophecy is yet in the future. It will be fulfilled in Rev 16:12-16 and Rev 17:9-14.

The New World Order

Rev 13:8. All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

Here is a Bible prophecy yet to be fulfilled in the future. All will be made, to worship in the Roman Catholic Church worldwide. All those who do not have their names written in the book of Life. How do we get our names written in the book of life? By believing in the Lamb of God, who was slain from the foundation of the world. Who is the Lamb of God? John the Baptist pointed to Jesus when he baptized him at the river Jordan. He said “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” Joh 1:29. To get our names written in the book of life, we need to believe in Jesus Christ as our own personal savior. Joh 3:16. We need to repent of our sins and be baptized with adult baptism. Acts 2:38. Ask forgiveness of our sins and be born again as new Christians. Joh 3:1-7.This is a personal experience, which can only be achieved through the Holy Spirit. On top of that, we need to practice Christianity by daily keeping all the ten commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. Rev 14:12. 12:17

Revelation 13:11-15. Who does the beast from the earth represent? https://www.ayindk.com/rev-1311-18/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=rev-1311-18 Sun, 03 Jan 2016 21:00:00 +0000 http://ayin.dk/?page_id=823 Rev 13:11. Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon.

The first beast in Rev 13:1 came out of the sea meaning the wicked nations and peoples, (Is 57:20) and that would mean populated Europe during the Middle Ages. The second beast in Rev 13:11, came out of the earth. Again, this beast is a super world empire just like all the other beasts in prophecy.

What does the earth mean in symbolic language in the book of Revelation?

Rev 12:15.16. So the serpent spewed water out of his mouth like a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood. But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the flood which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth.

The woman represents the pure church of believers during the Middle Ages. The serpent represents Satan Rev 12:9. The flood from Satan represents persecution. Psalm 18:4. Dan 11:22. So when the earth opened its mouth, the believers escaped from the persecutions. The reformers travelled to England, Holland and then to North America to escape persecution from the papacy. In North America, there was no persecution from the papacy. Earth in symbolic language represents North America, which was depopulated at the time. Therefore, sea represents an area of many wicked people and the earth represents land with hardly any people. A beast represents a super empire along with the other beast as we have studied.

Which land started around the end of the Middle Ages in the late 1700´s and around the time of the French Revolution? The United States of America started as a new nation around this time. This is the new earth, the new world, where the reformers travelled to in escaping persecution.

This beast had two horns like a lamb, but they had no crowns on their heads like the sea beast which had ten crowns. Crowns on heads represent kingly authority. The absence of crowns on the lamb like horns reveal that this super power has no kingly authority. OK! The two horns in prophecy represent the political and the lamb represents the religious powers. What became the fundamental principles of this new nation USA? Republicanism and Protestantism with no kingly authority. These became the guiding principles of this nation where all reformers travelled to, to escape persecution, to a safe haven.

These horns were like a lamb. What does lamb mean in prophetical language? John the Baptist pointed to Jesus at the river Jordan and said Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! Joh 1:29. Rev 12:11. The lamb refers to Jesus Christ.  The beast spoke like a dragon. Who does the dragon represent in the book of Revelation? Satan or the devil. Rev 12:9.

So we have a nation here, the United States of America who has built its principles on the Bible and looks like a Christian nation, however it speaks like a dragon and that is Satan. When a nation speaks like a Dragon, then that can only mean one thing, and that is persecution of the saints again like in Rev 12: This prophecy is yet in the future. But when this nation turns away from God and the principles outlined in the Bible; then they begin to persecute the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus, then we will know that the nation will speak like the Dragon: Satan.

Who is the False Prophet in Rev 19:20?

This nation of Protestants in the USA, is also known as the false prophet in the book of Revelation.

The word false prophet in the Greek is “pseudoprophaitais”.

A short word study on the words false prophet in the New Testament.

Rev 16:13. I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. (This is under the sixth plague in Rev 16:).

Rev 19:20. Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs and miracles in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. (This false prophet is referring to the beast with the lamb like horns in Rev 13:11-18 who deceives people with signs and miracles. This false prophet is the USA according to our study on Rev 13:11-18).

Rev 20:10. The devil who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

2 Pet 2.1. But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies , even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.

Acts 13:6. Now when they had gone through the island to Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew whose name was Bar-Jesus.

Math 7:15. Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep´s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. Verse 16. You will know them by their fruits. (These false prophets can also be churches)

Mat 24:11. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. (False prophets can also mean churches).

Mat 24:24. For false Christ’s and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible the elect (Elect are Christians).

Conclusion

A false prophet can be a man or a woman, or an institution like a church denomination. It can also be a religious nation like the USA. The false prophet in Rev 13:11-18 is the Protestants nation in the USA and works together with the beast in Rev 13:1-10, which represents the papacy in the Roman Catholic Church system. The false prophet, the beast and the devil will share the same destiny in eternal fire. False prophets will be found among God´s people in the church worldwide. False prophets can make sorcery and miracles to deceive God´s people. False prophets can be known by their fruits, and that is they do not believe in the whole Bible and keep the commandments of God. False prophets will do signs and wonders to deceive God´s people in the church.

Rev 13:11. Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon.

Who is the dragon a symbol of in prophecy? Rev 12:9. So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

So when the USA of America speaks, it speaks like a dragon and all the peoples of the earth are afraid. The speaking from the dragon and the USA are related to worship. There will come a time in the future when the USA will speak like a dragon and enforce laws going against the Law of God and primarily against God´s sabbath law to keep this law holy on the seventh day of the week which is a Saturday. And all who refuse to obey this law will be persecuted by the state and the Protestant church in the USA.

Rev 13:12. And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

This prophecy is yet to be fulfilled in the future. The USA will exercise the same authority as the first beast, which is the Roman Catholic Church system with the papacy, and Jesuits in control and running this vast world organization. When Rev 13: talks about authority, we have learned that the authority comes first from Satan, and then was transferred over to the Roman Catholic Church system, and further continued with the USA. What does this authority involve? To establish the rights of worship in the land of the USA. This prophecy is yet in the future and can foresee a law of the land being enforced, thus taking away the free democratic rights of worship, and enforcing the worship of the first beast, which is the Roman Catholic Church system in the USA.

Rev 13:13.14. He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived.

What do signs mean in Revelation?

We shall do a short word study on the word signs, which is “seimion” in the Greek.

Mat 24:24 For false Christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect (The signs her are related to false prophets which can mean one person or a church who try to deceive true Christian believers).

2 Thess 2:9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs and lying wonders. Verse 10. And with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. (The signs are related to the Roman Catholic Church in this text: they have healing signs at Lourdes in France, and healing plus speaking in tongues amongst their charismatic members).

Rev 16:14 For they are spirits of demons, performing signs/miracles, which go out to the kings of the earth and the whole world, to gather them to the battle of the great day of God Almighty (These spirits convince the kings of the earth through signs to go into battle against God and his people).

Ex 7:9 When Pharaoh speaks to you, saying, show a miracle for yourself, then you shall say to Aaron, “Take your rod and cast it before Pharaoh, and let it become a serpent.” Verse 11. But Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers; so the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments.

Ex 7:19 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, “Say to Aaron, “Take your rod and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt, over their streams, over their rivers, over their ponds, and over all their pools of water, that they may become blood. And there shall be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in buckets of wood and in pitchers of stone. Verse 22. Then the magicians of Egypt did so with their enchantments – – -.

Ex 8:5 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, “Say to Aaron, “Stretch out your hand with your rod over the streams, over the rivers, and over the ponds, and cause frogs to come up on the land of Egypt. Verse 7. And the magicians did so with their enchantments, and brought up frogs on the land of Egypt.

Ex 8:18.19. Now the magicians so worked with their enchantments to bring forth lice, but they could not. Then the magicians said to Pharaoh, “This is the finger of God.”

Ex 4:8 (Plagues of Egypt) Then it will be, if they do not believe you, nor heed the message of the first sign, that they may believe the message of the latter sign. Verse 9. And it will be, if they do not believe even these two signs, or listen to your voice – – -.

Ex 4:17 And you shall take this rod in your hand, with which you shall do the signs.

Ex 7:3 And I will harden Pharaoh´s heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.

Joh 2:11. This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory; and his disciples believed in him. (Signs of turning water into wine).

Joh 4:54 This again is the second sign Jesus did when he had come out of Judea into Galilee. (This second sign was the healing of the nobleman´s son).

Joh 6:2 Then a multitude followed him, because they saw his signs which he performed on those who were diseased. (Healing of sicknesses).

Joh 6:14 Then those men, when they had seen the sign that Jesus did, said, “This is truly the Prophet who is to come into the world.” (This is after the sign of the feeding of the 5,000 with two small fish and five loaves of bread).

Joh 9:16 Therefore some of the Pharisees said, “This man is not from God, because he does not keep the Sabbath.” Others said, “How can a man who is a sinner do such signs?” (This was just after Jesus healed a blind man with clay).

Joh 12:18 For this reason the people also met him, because the heard that he had done this sign. (This sign was the raising of Lazarus from the dead).

Conclusion

Because the signs deceive men upon the earth, they are not from God, but from Satan. Spirits of demons performing signs with the kings of the earth to gather them for the battle of Armageddon. Signs that deceive the elect (Christians). Those who work these signs did not receive the love of the truth. Pharaoh’s magicians turned the waters into blood. Pharaoh’s magicians brought frogs out of the land of Egypt. Pharaoh´s magicians could not bring lice out of the land of Egypt. Jesus turned water into wine. Jesus healed the nobleman´s son. Healing of diseases and sicknesses. Feeding of the 5,000 with two small fish and five loaves of bread. Jesus heals a blind man with clay. Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead.

Signs that come from Satan, are related to Spiritualism and the Charismatic movement today, and are performed to mislead and deceive people and to draw them away from the teachings of the Bible. Signs from Jesus Christ are true signs that do not deceive.

What does “fire come down from heaven” mean in the Bible?

Some Bible students have speculated into what this fire is in prophecy. Some say it is the atom bomb, which had fire from the earth up to the heavens. Others conclude that it is some kind of laser weapon, which can cause fire to appear out of heaven.

When studying this chapter Rev 13: it is full of symbolic language and fire is one of them. It is not to be taken as literal fire. The context of this chapter reveals everything is symbolic and not literal. Therefore, fire is symbolic in this chapter. The purpose of the fire from heaven and signs are to deceive the people living in the USA, especially Protestant Christians.

Gen 19:24. Then the Lord rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from the Lord out of the heavens. (Fire is related to the Lord´s presence and destruction).

Lev 9:23.24. Then the glory of the Lord appeared to all the people and fire came out from before the Lord and consumed the burnt offering and the fat on the altar. (Fire is related to the Lord´s presence and destruction).

Lev 10:1.2. Then Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, each took a censer and put it fire in it, put incense on it, and offered profane fire before the Lord, which He had not commanded them. So fire went out from the Lord and devoured them, and they died before the Lord. (Fire is related to the Lord´s presence and destruction).

Numb 16:35. And fire came down from the Lord and consumed the two hundred and fifty men who were offering incense. (This is referring to the rebellion of Korah and the two hundred and fifty leaders of Israel. Fire is related to the Lord´s presence and destruction).

1 Kings 18:30-38. (Elijah built an altar to the Lord, cut the bull up into pieces and put them on the altar with the wood. Then he asked the people to pour water over the altar three times and then he prayed to God). Verses 37.38. “Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that You are the Lord God, and that you have turned their hearts back to You again”. Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench. (Fire is related to the Lord´s presence and destruction).

2 Thess 1:7-9. When the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Fire is related to the Lord´s presence and destruction).

Rev 20:9. They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them. (The ones who are devoured are Satan and all the nations of the earth, Gog and Magog, who try to go into battle against the city of Jerusalem where the saints are. Fire is related to the Lord´s presence and destruction).

Acts 2:1-4. When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. Suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. (Fire is related to the Lord´s presence and signs of speaking in tongues, which are languages).

Conclusion

All these texts reveal that fire comes down from the Lord and reveals God´s presence. They also reveal that fire has a destroying effect. However, having said this,  Acts 2:1-4  is the only text in the Bible where tongues of fire from heaven, are connected to signs e.g. Acts 2:43 Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. These signs of speaking in tongues and healing were not performed to deceive, but to strengthen the faith of those who believed in what the apostles preached about salvation through Christ and Christ alone.

Therefore, fire in Rev 13:13 maybe related to the speaking in tongues and the healing phenomena in the Charismatic movement. This speaking in tongues in the Charismatic movement is not the same as the speaking in tongues experienced in Acts 2:1-13, which is the speaking of languages only. The speaking in tongues in the Charismatic movement is described as a warm feeling of the Holy Spirit entering the body, and when one speaks in tongues it shows the presence of the Lord.

This is the great deception described in Rev 13:13. Why? Because we never read about the disciples and apostles speaking in a “gibberish” way and rolling on the floor like they do in many Charismatic meetings.

In addition, the healing from the Charismatic movement is only a temporary healing in many cases from my experience. Satan can inflict people with sicknesses and use healers to make them better. Furthermore, many of these healing services are not Christ like according to the Bible narrative.

What is the image to the beast?

Rev 13:14. And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived.

OK! The beast in Rev 13:1-10 is the Roman Catholic Church system. In Rev 13:11-18 the beast with the two lamb like horns represents the USA. The USA jurisdiction and government tells those who dwell on the earth (the people who live in the USA) to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived (which is the Roman Catholic Church system). This prophecy is yet to be fulfilled in the future.

This prophecy describes a union between the Roman Catholic Church system and the protestant church along with the US state government. When this union takes place there will be a law enforced making an image to the beast. How can this law be enforced? We have already experienced a new law made by the 5 justices of the USA stating that all homosexuals and lesbians can unite in marriage going against the teachings of the Bible. Lev 20:13. Rom 1:26.27. So these 5 justices can make new laws going against the Bible.

What is this image?

Image in the Greek language is είκων aikon and means an emperor´s head image on a coin showing that he is the one who has issued the coin and supports the value of it.[1]

Mat 22:19-21. (The Pharisees asked Jesus) Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar? Jesus said, “Show me the tax money”. So they brought him a denarius. And he said to them, “Whose image and inscription is this?” They said to him. “Caesar´s.” And he said to them, “Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesars, and to God what is God´s.” (Image means tribute and authority).

Rom 1:18. Paul is talking about ungodly and unrighteous men. Verse 22. Professing to be wise, they become fools. Verse 23. And changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. (Image of God in opposition to images of animals).

Rom 8:29. For whom he foreknew, he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. (Image of Jesus Christ character).

2 Cor 3:18. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. (Image of Christ).

1 Cor 11:7. For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God. (Image of God and Jesus Christ).

1 Cor 15:49. And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly man (Jesus Christ).

Colos 1:15. (Christ) He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

Heb 10:1. For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect. (The law of sacrifices is an image)

Rev 13:15. He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. (The beast with the lamb like horns gave power to the image, which resulted in the image having breath, can speak and coming alive. Those who do not worship the image will be killed. This reminds us of Daniel´s three friends Meshach, Shadrach and Abednego who refused to worship the image/statue to the King in Dan 3:)

Rev 14:9. (Third angel from heaven message) Then the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, Verse 10. He himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God – – -. (This is a serious message from God in heaven stating that anyone worshipping the beast i.e. the Roman Catholic Church system and receives his mark shall receive the wrath of God).

Rev 15:2. And I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who have the victory over the beast, over his image – – -. (The sea of glass is in heaven where the victors stand who have overcome the beast and refused to worship his image).

Rev 16:2. So the first went and poured out his bowl upon the earth, and a foul and loathsome sore came upon the men who had the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. (This is during the first plague with the wrath of God upon those who worship the image of the beast).

Rev 19:20. Then the beast was captured and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence by which he declared those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. (Here we have the results of those who created the image and forced others to worship the image: the beast and the false prophet where thrown into the lake of fire).

Rev 20:4. And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on the foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

Dan 2:31. You O King, were watching; and behold, a great image! This great image, whose splendor was excellent, stood before you; and its form was awesome. (Image in the Hebrew is “tselem” and means statue in this text).

Conclusion

Image is related to the following: worship, authority, and image of God. Christ. False worship of the beast. Deception. Statue in Dan 2: Statue of gold in Dan 3: Issue of life and death. There is a difference between true worshipers and false worshipers in the book of Revelation. They are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus Christ and those who do not. The Ten Commandments of God includes keeping the sabbath day as a holy day, which is on a Saturday in the Bible. (Rev 12:17. 14:12). The image to the beast is the opposite to keeping the commandments of God, like keeping Sunday as a holy day.

Rev 13:15. He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.

“He” refers to the false prophet or the Protestants living in the USA. Power was given to the Protestants living in the USA to give breath to the image, so that it can become alive and have authority to speak and administer a death decree to those who do not wish to worship the image to the first beast. Her we have a union of both protestants in the USA and the Roman Catholic Church system who make a law enforcing all people living in the USA to worship the image to the first beast in (Rev 13:1), on the point of death.

There is a similar account of this situation written in Dan 3:

Dan 3:1 Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold. Verse 2. The image was to be dedicated and all were invited. Verse 5. At the time you hear the sound of the horn, flute, harp, and psaltery, in symphony with all kinds of music, you shall fall down and worship the gold image that king Nebuchadnezzar has set up. Verse 6. And whoever does not fall down, and worship shall be cast immediately into the midst of a burning fiery furnace. Verse 12. (Certain Chaldeans came forward to the king and accused some Jews). There are certain Jews whom you have set over the affairs of the province of Babylon: Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego; these men, O king, have not paid due regard to you. They do not serve your gods or worship the gold image which you have set up. As a result, these three men were cast into a burning oven to be burnt up alive.

Verse 24. Then king Nebuchadnezzar was astonished; and he rose in haste and spoke, saying to his counselors, “Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said to the king, “True O king.” “Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. (In this historical account, image is related to forced worship by the king).

In order for the United States to form an image of the beast, the religious power must so control the civil government that the authority of the State will also be employed by the Church to accomplish her own ends.[2]

When the leading Churches of the United States, uniting upon such points of doctrine as are held by them in common, shall influence the State to enforce their decrees and to sustain their institutions, then Protestant America will have formed an image of the Roman hierarchy, and the infliction of civil penalties upon dissenters will inevitably result.[3]

The image to the beast represents that form of apostate Protestantism which will be developed when the Protestant Churches shall seek the aid of the civil power for the enforcement of their dogmas.[4]

Revelation 13:16 What is the Mark of the Beast? https://www.ayindk.com/rev-1316-mark-beast/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=rev-1316-mark-beast Mon, 04 Jan 2016 20:00:00 +0000 http://ayin.dk/?page_id=1270 What is this mark on the right hand and on the forehead?

Rev 13:16. He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads.

We will now do a word study from the Bible on what it means to have a mark on the right hand and on the forehead.

Ex 13:9. It shall be a sign to you on your hand and as a memorial between your eyes (forehead), that the Lord´s law may be in your mouth; for with a strong hand the Lord has brought you out of Egypt. Verse 14. So it shall be, when your son asks you in time to come saying, “What is this?” that you shall say to him, “By strength of the hand of the Lord brought us out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Verse 16. It shall be a sign on your hand and as frontlets between your eyes (forehead), for by strength of the Lord brought us out of Egypt. (The mark on the right hand and on the forehead is related to the law of God which are the Ten Commandments).

Ezek 3:7-9. But the house of Israel will not listen to you, because they will not listen to me; for all the house of Israel are impudent and hard hearted. Behold I have made your face strong against their faces, and your forehead strong against their forehead. Like adamant stone, harder than flint, I have made your forehead; do not be afraid of them, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house. Context: (Ezekiel’s forehead was made strong by God to condemn the Israelites of their sins. Hence, the forehead is related to spiritual strength).

Ezek 9:1-11. (The subject are those who are worshipping idols in Jerusalem, shall be slain). Verses 3-7. God said to an angel, “Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and cry over all the abominations that are alone within it.”  To the others he said in my hearing, “Go after him through the city and kill; do not let your eye spare, nor have any pity. Utterly slay old and young men, maidens and little children and women; but do not come near anyone on whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary.” So they began with the elders who were before the temple. They went out and killed in the city. Verse 11. The man clothed with linen who had the inkhorn at his side, reported back and said, “I have done as you commanded me.”

(Context: A mark on the forehead means those who believe in God and his commandments, and therefore sigh and cry over abominations of Israel. Those who do not have God´s mark on their foreheads are those who do not believe in God and his commandments but worship idols, do iniquity, shed blood and indulge in perversity).

Deut 5:6-22. The context of the next chapter gives an explanation of this chapter, and is about God who wrote the Ten Commandments and gave them to Moses.

Deut 6:6-8. And these words which I command you to day shall be in your heart. (These words refer to the previous chapter Deut 5:6-22, which are the Ten Commandments). Verses 7-8. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.  You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes (foreheads).

Deut 6:4.5. Hear O Israel: The lord our God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your strength. (Mk12:29-31. Math 22:36-40. Love to God, is the first commandment and how you do this is by observing the first of the four of the Ten Commandments. Love your neighbor is the second commandment and how you do this is by observing the last six commandments of the Ten Commandments).

Rev 7:3. Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees until we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads. Verse 4. And I heard the number of those were sealed. One hundred and forty-four thousands of all the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed. Verse 9. After these things I looked and behold a great multitude, which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands. Verse 13. Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, “Who are these arrayed in white robes and where did they come from?” Verse 14. And I said to him, “Sir, you know,” so he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. (Foreheads are related to those who have washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb: salvation through Christ alone).

Conclusion

The mark on the right hand and on the forehead, is related to the following: God´s law. The hand of the Lord and his strength, spiritually strength, spiritual decisions, sigh and cry over all abominations, Gods commandments especially observing the Sabbath which is on a Saturday and not on Sunday, worship God, love to God, love to your neighbor, the seal of the Holy Spirit, white robes washed in the blood of the lamb. (The fore mentioned mark, is related to Gods mark on the right hand and on the forehead. The opposite to this mark for example the mark of the beast, are those who practice the opposite to worshipping God and his ten commandments, like observing another holy day apart from the Sabbath on a Saturday).

Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its waters was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared.

Looking at the traditional Adventist interpretation of the drying up of the river Euphrates: the waters on which Babylon sits on and when it dries up, means the finances to the city of Babylon have dried up, hence there is no longer any support to the city and therefore Babylon collapses.

The term Kings from the East is generally defined as Christ´s Second Coming.

Questions to the above interpretation.

Does the River Euphrates mean many waters on which Babylon sits on?

Does the drying up of the river Euphrates mean drying up of financial support?

What is the Biblical meaning of Kings from the East?

Does the River Euphrates mean many waters on which Babylon sits on?

The text used to support this view, is taken from Rev. 17:15.The waters which you saw, were the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues. This text is referring to Rev 17:1. Come I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters.

What do many waters mean in the book of Revelation?

Rev 1:15. His voice as the sound of many waters. (Refers to the voice of Christ in heaven).

Rev 14:2. And I heard a voice from heaven, like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of loud thunder. And I heard the sound of harpists playing their harps. (Refers to the 144,000 voices in heaven singing a new song verse 3).

Rev 17:1. Come I will show the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters.

Rev 17:15. The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations and tongues. (These people are related to one voice of praise and worship to the fallen church worldwide, which is opposite to the voices of the 144,000 who keep the Ten Commandments of God and the faith of Jesus Christ Rev 14:12).

Rev 19:6. And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunder, saying, Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns.

Conclusion

Many waters are related to the voice of Christ up in heaven and the 144,000 up in heaven. Many waters are also related to the 144,000 singing a new song and the voice of the great multitude praising God in heaven. They also keep the Ten Commandments of God and the true faith of Jesus Christ. These commandments include the Sabbath day which is on a Saturday.

As regards to the harlot sitting on many waters, this represents the worldwide fallen church singing and praising God through false worship and teachings they have received from the scarlet beast. These teachings represent the wine of her fornication in Rev 17:2.3. These teachings are opposite to the Ten Commandments of God and the true faith in Jesus Christ. i.e. the sabbath day which is on a Sunday.

As for rivers meaning populated parts of the earth is just speculation and reading into the text what is not there. Rivers in prophecy refer to life giving waters like the river of life but certainly not many peoples.

Does the drying up of the river Euphrates mean the drying up of financial support?

There is no Biblical text to support this view.

Now we shall analysis of the text Rev 16:12-16.

Rev 16:12 Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared.

Where is the river Euphrates?

It lies on the border between Gods people the Israelites, and their enemies. The border lies on the river flowing from the north and east of Israel. The enemies of Israel who lived on the other side of the border where Fx. Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persian etc.

What does it mean when the river Euphrates dries up?

It means that when the water has disappeared, there is no border between Israel and their enemies. Hence, their enemies have direct access to attacking Israel.

What does the term mean “kings from the east?”

I have read many different commentaries and different interpretations of this text. Most are speculative also from the Adventist traditional approach. The traditional approach states that the kings from the east refer to Christ at his Second Coming from the east. Math 24:27 “For as the lightening comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” But this interpretation gives a problem with the grammar in Rev 16:12-16. The word kings is written in the plural and not singular. That means there is more than one king. Some theologians have tried to get around the text by saying that the Second Coming involves the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit making three kings. In addition, Christ is coming from the east and he will meet his people who are the priesthood of all believers and kings with him. Rev 5:10. Again, these interpretations do not agree with the context of the passage and the rest of the Bible.

Kings from the east is an indirect expression used in the Old Testament. It was an expression used for the enemies of Israel, who lived just over the river Jordan or the other side of the river Euphrates, who came from the east of Israel. Fx. the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Assyrians and Babylonians. When the river Euphrates and river Jordan dried up in parts, mainly in the summer, then the enemies of Israel marched over the river, which was now dry ground and this made it easier for the enemy to attack the Israelites. The enemy, were referred to as the Kings   (Jos 11:2) of the Cannanites, Amorite, Hitite, Perizite, Jebusite, Hivite (Jos 11:3). When all these kings had met together, they came and camped together at the waters of Merom to fight against Israel. Jos 11:4. So they went out, they and all their armies with them, as many people as the sand that is on the seashore in multitude. Jos 11:6. But the Lord said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid because of them, for tomorrow about this time I will deliver all of them slain before Israel. So it is God who does the fighting for his people in this text.

Jos 12:1 These are the kings of the land whom the children of Israel defeated, and whose land they possessed on the other side of the Jordan toward the rising of the sun (the east, anatolé in Greek, means from the rising of the sun), from the River Arnon to Mount Hermon, and all the eastern Jordan plain.

Jos 12:2 One king was Sihon king of the Amorites.

Jos 12:4 Another king was Og king of Bashan.

Furthermore, the east or rising of the sun refers to Northern Arabia, Syria, and Mesopotamia. This was the area where the Magi or Wise men came from, before visiting the child Jesus with their gifts in Bethlehem. Mat 2:1. Thus, Haran was in the land of the people of the east Gen 29:1.4. The king of Moab later brought Balaam from Aram (that is Syria), out of the mountains of the east (Num 23:7. 22:5). Isaiah spoke of Cyrus, the Persian, as the righteous man from the east (Isa 41:2).

What does the text Rev 16:12-14 mean for us today?

It means there will come a time in the future when the border between believers in Christ and  non-believers will be removed. There will be a worldwide law condemning Christians to death who believe in the Bible and Bible only. The enemies of Christ thereafter will have access to destroying and exterminating all Christians who obey the ten commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.  Rev 12:17. When the border of security and protection is removed from true Christians, then the wicked will go in for the attack, and the last world war Armageddon will take place. This will happen just before the Second Coming of Christ literally, from the heavens, and every eye will see him. Rev 1:7.

What else happens at that time according to Rev 16:13?

Rev 16:13. And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the dragon, out of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

OK! We are talking about Bible prophecy here in the text.

Who does the Dragon represent in Bible prophecy?

Rev 12:9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Who does sea the beast represent in Bible prophecy?

Rev 13:1-10. Rev 17:1-8. 2 Thess 2:1-12. Dan 7:7.8.19-25. Dan 8:9-12. Dan 11:16-45. The Roman Catholic organization and system of worship.

Who does the false prophet represent in Bible prophecy?

Rev 19:20. Rev 13:11-13. First and foremost the Protestant church in the USA, which has stopped protesting against the Roman Catholic Church; it also refers to all the Protestant churches all over the world who follow in the footsteps of the Protestant Church in the USA.

Rev 19:20 Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image.

The false prophet who worked signs and deceived those who received the mark of the beast, is confirmed in Rev 13:14 And he (Protestants in the USA) deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast.

“Through two great errors, the immortality of the soul and Sunday sacredness, Satan will bring the people under his deceptions. While the former lays the foundation of spiritualism, the latter creates a bond of sympathy with Rome. The Protestants of the United States will be foremost in stretching their hands across the gulf to grasp the hand of spiritualism; they will reach over the abyss to clasp hands with the Roman power; and under the influence of this threefold union, this country will follow in the steps of Rome trampling on the rights of conscience.” ((1))

“It is true that spiritualism is now changing its form and, veiling some of its more objectionable features, is assuming a Christian guise – – -. Even in its present form, so far from being more worthy of toleration than formerly, it is really more dangerous, because a more subtle, deception. While it formerly denounced Christ and the Bible, it now professes to accept both. But the Bible is interpreted in a manner that is pleasing to the unrenewed heart, while its solemn and vital truths are made of no effect. Love is dwelt upon as the chief attribute of God, but it is degraded to a weak sentimentalism, making little distinction between good and evil. God’s justice, His denunciation of sin, the requirements of His holy law, are all kept out of sight. The people are taught to regard the Decalogue as a dead letter.” ((2))

Many of these signs of modern day spiritualism are revealed in the Charismatic movement in many churches all over the world. Wikipedia states that Charismatic Christian beliefs are not defined by a particular doctrine. They believe in miracles, signs and wonders. They also believe in the gift of prophecy, healing, super natural occurrences and the speaking of tongues.

This speaking of tongues is not the Biblical speaking of tongues, which were only languages. The Charismatic speaking in tongues is a gibberish utterance from the mouth, followed by many times with a rolling on the floor. These speaking in tongues is not Biblical and we find no indication that the disciples practiced this kind of phenomena.

Rev 16:14 For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God almighty.

It is the spirits of demons working through the Charismatic movement, who gather the Roman Catholic Church and Protestants throughout the whole world, together. On top of that, these demons are working extra hard, because they go out to all the kings of the earth to convince them, that those who keep the Ten Commandments of God and the Faith of Jesus Christ, are the enemies of God and therefore should be destroyed.

Notice “Kings” is in the plural just as kings from the East (rising of the sun) is in the plural in Rev 16:12. When the river Euphrates is dried up; the border of security and protection of Gods people on earth is removed by civil authorities; then the kings of the earth together with all the wicked go in for the attack against Gods people at the war of Armageddon.

Should Gods people who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus be afraid?

What did God say to Joshua when the kings from the east, the enemies of Gods people were preparing for an attack on the Israelites?

Jos 11:4-6. So they went out, they and all their armies with them, as many people as the sand that is on the seashore in multitude, with many horses and chariots. When all these kings had met together, they came and camped together at the waters of Merom to fight against Israel. But the Lord said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid because of them, for tomorrow about this time I will deliver all of them slain before Israel”.

So it is God who does the fighting for his people in this text. It is the God of the whole universe, who wins the war of Armageddon.

This Armageddon war happens when the sea beast in Rev 13:1-10 unites with the beast from the earth Rev 13:11-18, having two horns like a lamb, will speak like a dragon and act like a dragon. The dragon represents Satan in the book of Revelation. The sea beast represents the Roman Catholic Church system and the beast from the earth represents Protestants in the USA. This is all in the future.

Introduction to Revelation 17: One of the greatest errors in prophetic interpretation https://www.ayindk.com/introduction-rev-17/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=introduction-rev-17 Thu, 07 Jan 2016 17:00:00 +0000 http://ayin.dk/?page_id=630 One of the greatest errors in prophetic interpretation by many Protestant theologians is the interpretation of heads and beasts in Rev 17:3.7.9-11. What they are saying is, a head represents a beast and a beast represents a head in prophetic interpretation. Therefore, a head is a symbol for a political empire. This is absolutely nonsense and goes against all interpretations of prophetical symbols. This is pure speculation and has nothing to do with Biblical exegesis. What they are doing is eisegesis: reading into the text what is not there, and then they reinforce each other’s argument by quoting from each other’s comments on Revelation. What they are saying is 1 + 1 = 3, and because they are professors of theology many people believe them.

Revelation of Jesus Christ by Ranko Stefanovic

The following is a quote from one of the most prominent theologians in the Seventh-day Adventist church on the book of Revelation: the right honorable Ranko Stefanovic.

Ranco Stefanovic

Stefanovic writes in his commentary “Revelation of Jesus Christ[1].” Several modern commentators interpret the seven kings as Roman Emperors: five have fallen (Augustus, Tiberius, Caligula, and Nero), one ruled in John´s time (Vespasian), and the seventh, Titus, would be the one to come. The eighth one that was not yet would be Domitian as the returned Nero.

On page 521, he states, “This commentary argues that the sixth head/king, which “is,” must be understood from John´s viewpoint at the time of the writing of Revelation, in other words, the angel identified the heads/kings to John, and it must have had meaning for John when he wrote. Thus, the five that have fallen can be listed as follows: Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, and Greece. The kingdom that ruled the world and oppressed the church during the time of John was Imperial Rome (the sixth kingdom). The seventh kingdom to come from John´s perspective referred to medieval ecclesiastical Christianity represented in the sea beast that was mortally wounded in Revelation 13:1-10.” (The sea beast who he is writing about is the Roman Catholic Church).

The reason for this error of prophetic interpretation of heads and beasts is, that the scarlet beast which is Satan, is the eighth head and part of the seventh. Therefore, many Protestant theologians conclude that a head in prophetic interpretation represents a beast and a beast represents a head. This is one of the greatest mistakes in prophetic interpretation.

A beast does not represent a head and a head does not represent a beast in prophetic interpretation, with the exception of the scarlet beast in Rev 17:3 and the sea beast in Rev 13:1-10. Why this exception? Because these beasts represent spiritual empires, and they are the heads of spiritual empires, in the present and in the future.

In the English language this picture is the whole beast

In the English language this picture is the head of a beast

Stefanovic is not doing an exegesis on the symbol of heads but eisegesis: reading into the text what is not there. This is pure speculation in what he says, and then he backs it up with other theologians who have the same interpretation. He is a most respected Seventh-day Adventist theologian, and Adventist theologians and ministers are usually at the forefront of prophetic interpretation. None can replicate their studies in the studies of the books of Daniel and Revelation. However, when we have a theologian that tries to agree with other Protestant theologians, so that he can sell a book, then I draw the line, and we are on our way going downhill with the understanding of prophetic interpretation.

You can see my study, from the Bible and Bible only, on what heads mean in Rev 17:9-11.

Revelation 17:6 What does it mean to be drunk with the blood of saints? https://www.ayindk.com/rev-176/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=rev-176 Wed, 13 Jan 2016 11:00:00 +0000 http://ayin.dk/?page_id=642 Rev 17:6. I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her, I marveled with great amazement.

The word “drunk” in the Greek is “methusan”. It is an accusative, singular, participle, present of “methuo”. The word does not refer to the past as many theologians and commentaries have stated. Because the word is a participle, and parts of the verb are used adjectivally in the construction of subordinate phrases and in the formation of tenses. They exist in two voices, active and passive. The active voice is a present participle e.g. drinking. The perfect participle is e.g. having drunk.[1]. This participle in the text is called a “verbal adjective” e.g. I have a splitting headache. This is a present participle and not in the past.

Therefore, when we analyze the word “drunk” in Rev 17:6, it should be translated, drinking or being drunk, in the present and not in the past.

Literally continuing in a state of intoxication e.g. being drunk.[2]

For example we shall look at a few texts clarifying the word being drunk “methusan” in the Greek and in the present.

Mat 24:49. My master is delaying his coming and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards.

Acts 2:15. These are not drunk as you suppose.

1 Cor 11:21. (The Lord´s supper). For in eating, each one takes his own supper ahead of others; and one is hungry and another is drunk.

1 Thess 5:7. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night.

What does the statement “drinking of the blood of the saints and martyrs” mean?

St Bartholomew’s day massacre in 1572

Rev 16:6. (This takes place under the third plague which shall come upon the earth when the waters will be turned to blood). For they have shed the blood of the saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink. (It is very clear from this text that drinking blood is related to shedding the blood of the saints and prophets: That is persecuting and killing them).

In relation to Rev 17: the time setting of this chapter refers to the future and this persecution and killing of the saints or true Christians, also refers to the future. When? At the war of Armageddon.

Rev 17:14. These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for he is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with him are called, chosen and faithful.

Rev 16:12-16. Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared. And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. Verse 16. And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon.

When looking at the traditional Adventist interpretation of the drying up of the river Euphrates: the waters on which Babylon sits on and when it dries up, means the finances to the city of Babylon have dried up, and there is no longer any support to the city and therefore Babylon collapses.

The text used to support this view is taken from Rev. 17:15.The waters which you saw, were the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues. This text is referring to Rev 17:1. Come I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters.

As for rivers, meaning populated parts of the earth is just speculation and reading into the text what is not there. Rivers in prophecy refer to life giving waters like the river of life but certainly not many peoples.

Does the drying up of the river Euphrates mean the drying up of financial support?

There is no Biblical text to support this view.

Analysis of the text Rev 16:12-16.

Verse 12 Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared.

Where is the river Euphrates?

The river Euphrates is the lower blue line

It lies on the border between Gods people the Israelites, and their enemies. The border lies on the river flowing from the north and east of Israel. The enemies of Israel who lived on the other side of the border where Fx. Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persian etc.

What does it mean when the river Euphrates dries up?

It means that when the water has disappeared, there is no border between Israel and their enemies. Hence, their enemies have direct access to attacking Israel.

What does the statement “kings from the east” mean?

Or even Christ is coming from the east and he will meet his people who are the priesthood of all believers and kings with him. Rev 5:10. Again these interpretations do not agree with the context of the passage and the rest of the Bible.

Kings from the east is an indirect expression used in the Old Testament. It was an expression used for the enemies of Israel, who lived just over the river Jordan or on the other side of the river Euphrates who came from the east of Israel. Fx the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Assyrian and Babylonians. When all these kings had met together; they came and camped together at the waters of Merom to fight against Israel. Jos 11:4 So they went out, they and all their armies with them, as many people as the sand that is on the seashore in multitude. Jos 11:6. But the Lord said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid because of them, for tomorrow about this time I will deliver all of them slain before Israel. So it is God who does the fighting for his people in this text.

Jos 12:1 These are the kings of the land whom the children of Israel defeated, and whose land they possessed on the other side of the Jordan toward the rising of the sun (the east, “anatolé” in Greek), from the River Arnon to Mount Hermon, and all the eastern Jordan plain.

Jos 12:2 One king was Sihon king of the Amorites.

Jos 12:4 The other king was Og king of Bashan.

In addition, the east or rising of the sun refers to Northern Arabia, Syria, and Mesopotamia. This was the area where the Magi or Wise men came from before visiting the child Jesus with their gifts in Bethlehem. Mat 2:1. Thus Haran was in the land of the people of the east Gen 29:1.4.

It means there will come a time in the future when the border between believers in Christ and non believers will be removed. The enemies of Christ thereafter will have access to destroying and exterminating all Christians who obey the ten commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. Rev 12:17. When the border of security and protection is removed from Christians, then the wicked will go in for the attack, and the last world war Armageddon will take place. This will happen just before the Second Coming of Christ literally, and every eye will see him. Rev 1:7.

What else happens at that time according to Rev 16:13?

And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the dragon, out of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

OK! We are talking about Bible prophecy here in the text.

Who does the Dragon represent in Bible prophecy?

Rev 12:9. So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Who does the beast represent in Bible prophecy?

Rev 13:1-10. Rev 17:1-8. 2 Thess 2:1-12. Dan 7:7.8.19-25. Dan 8:9-12. Dan 11:16-45. The Roman Catholic organization and system of worship.

Who does the false prophet represent in Bible prophecy?

Rev 19:20. Rev 13:11-13. First and foremost the Protestant church in the USA, which has stopped protesting against the Roman Catholic Church; it also refers to all the Protestant churches all over the world who follow in the footsteps of the Protestant Church in the USA.

GC page 588 “Through two great errors, the immortality of the soul and Sunday sacredness, Satan will bring the people under his deceptions. While the former lays the foundation of spiritualism, the latter creates a bond of sympathy with Rome. The Protestants of the United States will be foremost in stretching their hands across the gulf to grasp the hand of spiritualism; they will reach over the abyss to clasp hands with the Roman power; and under the influence of this threefold union, this country will follow in the steps of Rome trampling on the rights of conscience.”

Rev 16:14 For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God almighty.

It is the spirits of demons who gather the Roman Catholic Church and Protestants throughout the whole world, through the means of spiritualism. Through two doctrines: the immortality of the soul and Sunday sacredness. On top of that these demons are working extra hard because they go out to all the kings of the earth who become the enemies of Gods people and attack them.

Notice “Kings” is in the plural just as kings from the East (rising of the sun) is in the plural in Rev 16:12. When the river Euphrates is dried up; when the border of security and protection of Gods people on earth is removed by civil authorities; then the kings of the earth together with all the wicked go in for the attack against Gods people at the battle of Armageddon.

When all these kings had met together; they came and camped together at the waters of Merom to fight against Israel.

But the Lord said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid because of them, for tomorrow about this time I will deliver all of them slain before Israel. So it is God who does the fighting for his people in this text. It is the God of the whole universe, who has everything under control; it is God who wins the battle of Armageddon.

Rev 17:6. I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her, I marveled with great amazement.

The apostle John states and “when I saw her, I marveled with great amazement.” Why? Because he saw that in the future, during the war of Armageddon, the whole Christian worldwide community will make war against Gods people who keep the ten commandments of God and the faith of Jesus Christ. How can this be possible? Ellen G, White writes in the book “The Great Controversy” page 628, “By condemning the people of God to death, they (that is Babylon) have truly incurred the guilt of their blood as if it had been shed since the days of Abel — -.”

When will God´s people be condemned to death? Rev 13:15. He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. This is in the future.

It is in the future, during the sixth plague on the earth, and before the Second Coming of Christ. I have decided to put a resume of Rev 16:12-16, Rev 12: Rev 13:1-10, and Rev 13:11-18 into the events leading up to this war, which is the last war on earth, Armageddon. Revelation 17:15 What do many waters mean in prophecy? https://www.ayindk.com/rev-1715-2/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=rev-1715-2 Mon, 18 Jan 2016 06:00:00 +0000 http://ayin.dk/?page_id=734 Rev 17:15. Then he said to me,”The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations and tongues.”

Revelation 17:16 What does the term mean “to eat the harlots flesh and burn her with fire?” https://www.ayindk.com/rev-1716-2/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=rev-1716-2 Tue, 19 Jan 2016 05:00:00 +0000 http://ayin.dk/?page_id=737 Rev 17:16. And the ten horns which you saw on the beast, these will hate the harlot, make her desolate and naked, eat her flesh and burn her with fire.

From Rev 17:15 and onward we are entering the war of Armageddon, where two sides clash with one another: Satan and all the world powers both political and religious, fighting against Jesus Christ, the angels and all those believers who keep the Ten Commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. But this does not happen. This does not happen.

It is like a Hollywood film movie, where we have two sides fighting one another and someone comes out on top and is the winner. This is not so in Gods kingdom. It says in Rev 17:17. For God has put it into their hearts to fulfill his purpose. In other words, God has everything under control, up in heaven and down on this rebellious earth.

OK! Let us find out from the Bible, how God deals with wars. It says in the text Rev 17:16 that the ten horns on the beast, that is all the political nations on this earth, will hate the harlot, who represents all the members of the worldwide fallen Christian churches. The political nations of the earth will make her desolate and naked, eat her flesh and burn her with fire.

Why suddenly this turn of events? Because God has everything under control. God guides events in the way he wants it, and no one can stop him, not even the Scarlet Beast representing Satan.

Let us analyze the text.

What does the “eating of flesh” mean in Bible Prophecy?

The eating of flesh in Bible prophecy is a term not condoning cannibalism, but refers to warfare and destruction of the wicked unbelievers who do not believe in God. The following texts explain this term the “eating of flesh” from Rev 19:11-21.

Rev 19:11-16. Christ is the rider on a white horse, going to war against the wicked unbelievers in the world, at the end of the world’s history.

Rev 19:11. Christ judges and makes war.

Rev 19:13. Christ is clothed with a robe dipped in blood and his name is called “the Word of God” (Ephes 6:17).

Rev 19:14. Christ leads the armies from heaven.

Rev 19:15. Out of the mouth of Christ goes a sharp sword that with it, he should strike the nations. Ephes 6:17. The sharp sword represents the word from Christ´s mouth.

Rev 19:16. On Christ´s robe is written – King of kings and Lord of lords.

Rev 19:17.18. An angel cried , with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven, “Come and gather together for the supper of the great God, that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men – – -.” What does this term mean, “eating the flesh of kings and mighty men?” It means going into battle or war and God has already the victory. God has already defeated the enemy.

This term is taken from Ezekiel 39:1-5. 17-20. This is God´s prophecy against Gog and its princes of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal.

Ezek 39:3. God says, “I will knock the bow out of your left hand, and cause the arrows to fall out of your right hand. Verse 4. You shall fall upon the mountains of Israel, you and all your troops and the peoples who are with you; I will give you to the birds of prey of every sort and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.

The feast of devouring God´s enemies in battle is described in more detail in Ezekiel 39:17-20, which is used as a comparison to Rev 19:17.18.

Rev 19:19. And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him who sat on the horse and against his army.

The one who sat on the horse is without a doubt, Jesus Christ the King of all kings and Lord of all lords. Rev 19:11-16. Who is the beast? The beast is a combination of the beast in Rev 13:1-10 and Rev 17:3. The beast is a system within the Roman Catholic Church who try to control the world’s power, wealth, and beliefs. They believe in one power, one bank and one political ruler over the whole world, which many call the New World Order. The text in Rev 19:19 is in parallel to the text in Rev 16:12-14, which is the sixth plague upon the earth. There it mentions in Rev 16:13 that there are unclean spirits (demons) who gather the dragon (Satan Rev 12:9), the beast (Roman Catholic Church system Rev 13:1-10. 17:3), and the false prophet (Protestants in the USA. Rev 13:11-18, 19:20), to battle against the Lord God Almighty.

This is the final war on earth called Armageddon, where Christ has the victory over the dragon, the beast, the false prophet and the kings of the earth. When this happens, the birds of prey eat the flesh of those who fought against Christ. It means Christ has defeated the enemy and has the victory.

Rev 17:16. And the ten horns which you saw on the beast, these will hate the harlot, make her desolate and naked, eat her flesh and burn her with fire.

How come, this sudden turn of events?

When looking at Biblical history, God has an uncanny way of dividing the ranks of the enemy, so they turn against themselves, and destroy one another. Fx. Judges 7:12 Gideon and his 300 soldiers had to fight the Midianites, Amalakites and all the people of the East, who were lying in the valley as numerous as locusts; and their camels were without number, as the sand by the seashore in multitude. In verse 22, when the 300 soldiers blew their trumpets, the Lord set every man´s sword against his companion throughout the whole camp of the enemy; and the army fled to Beth Acacia toward Zererah – – -.

This is what will happen at the war of Armageddon. The scarlet beast (Satan) along with all the political nations of the earth, will instead of destroying God´s people, who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus Christ; they will suddenly attack and destroy the harlot representing all the Christians of the fallen worldwide Church.

When the political kings of the earth and nations have seen that they have been deceived by the false teachings from the fallen Christian Churches of the world e.g.

  1. Church of the east, 0.6 million.
  2. Restoration and Non-Trinitarianism, 42-48 million.
  3. Anglicanism, 85 million.
  4. Oriental Orthodoxy, 86 million.
  5. Eastern Orthodoxy, 225-300 million.
  6. Protestantism, 800 million.
  7. Roman Catholicism, 1.2 Billion.
  8. The majority in the Seventh-day Adventist Church who have left this church because of the Shaking.

These political kings of the earth and nations make war, first against the leaders of these churches. Fx. pastors, priests, religious leaders, theologians. Why? Because they are the ones who have the responsibility and the education from some of the top universities in the world. They are the experts in the Bible. All Christians in these churches turn to these leaders when asking about their faith. These pastors, priests, religious leaders, and theologians, will be the first to feel the war of Armageddon from all the political nations of the earth.

Then these political kings of the earth and nations make war against the members of all these fallen churches, because they take it upon themselves to be Christians but are not, because they do not follow the Bible by keeping the Ten Commandments of God and the faith of Jesus Christ.

When it says that these political nations will destroy them by making the church desolate and naked, eat her flesh and burn her with fire. One cannot imagine how these political nations will destroy these religious leaders and false Christians through out the whole world, because of their furious anger, when they realize that they have been deceived by these men in responsible positions of authority. They will rip their limbs apart from their bodies, make them naked and burn them alive in fire.

And then these political nations will turn on all the members of these  seven worldwide fallen churches and fallen Seventh-day Adventists. They will destroy them by making the church desolate and naked, eat her flesh and burn her with fire. This means total destruction for all members in these false churches worldwide.

Rev 19:20. Then the beast was captured and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. (When the birds of prey, that is the political kingdoms of the earth, have eaten the flesh of the beast and the false prophet, that is the Roman Catholic Church system and the Protestants in the USA, then they are cast into the lake of fire).

What have all these false Christians in all these fallen churches neglected to do?

Ezek 33:7-9. So you, son of man: I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore you shall hear a word from My mouth and warn them for me. Verse 8. When I say to the wicked, “O wicked man, you shall die!” and you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand. Verse 9. Nevertheless if you warn the wicked to turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul. There are not many sermons preached on this text in the Adventist church, because it involves personal witnessing to the public. If we do not witness to our friends and neighbors, then the responsibility lies with us and this may prevent us coming to heaven because of our selfishness.

James 2:14-17. What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? Verse 17. Thus, also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. This is the problem with the Laodicean Church in the book of Revelation 3:14-22. They believe in the Bible, but do not practice all what it says in the Bible. Jesus says he will vomit this church out of his mouth. The church spoken about in Rev 2:1-7 to the church at Ephesus. Verse 2.3. I know your works, your labor, your patience – – -. And you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for my name´s sake and have not become weary. Verse 4, that you have left your first love.

When all these false Christians have been destroyed, then the rest of the wicked are slain by sword which proceeds from the mouth of Jesus Christ.

Rev 19:21. And the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of him who sat on the horse. Who are the rest? They are all of the atheist and worshipers of all other religions, who do not believe in God and his Ten Commandments and the faith of Jesus Christ Rev 12:17.

Who does the killing in Rev 19:21?

It is him who will sit on the horse in Rev 19:11-16, which is Jesus Christ, the King of all kings and Lord of all lords. It is Christ who will administer judgement to all on the earth.

How are the rest of these unbelievers killed?

Rev 19:21 with a sword, which proceeds from the mouth of Christ. What does the symbolic meaning of the word sword in scripture? Ephes 6:17 it is the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God. 2 Thess 2:8. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of his mouth and destroy with the brightness of his coming. It is Christ who will destroy the rest, with the word from his mouth, at his Second Coming.

Who is left?

A remnant, an offspring who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus Christ Rev 12:17, 14:12.

Conclusion

The term “eating of flesh” is not a term where God is instituting cannibalism. It is a term used by God to describe the last war of Armageddon. It is a term describing God´s victory over all unbelievers: all those who have the mark of the beast, all those who belong to the beast and the false prophet on earth. This war is unlike any other war, because God uses the political kingdoms of the earth to fight against the worldwide fallen church, with all of its false believers. Then Jesus Christ destroys the rest of all unbelievers with the word of his mouth at his Second Coming.

No one gets a second chance.

So what is God´s last message to all personal believers in these fallen churches called Babylon? Rev 18:4. Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. Why? Because in Rev 18:2. Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every clean and hated bird!

E. G. White (Letter 232, 1899). In the seventeenth of Revelation is foretold the destruction of all churches who corrupt themselves by idolatrous devotion to the service of the papacy, those who have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

E. G. White references taken at random found on: www.whiteestate.org

  1. “Many of the wicked were greatly enraged as they suffered the effects of the plagues – – -. The people turned upon the ministers with bitter hate and reproached them, saying, “You have not warned us. You told us that all the world was to be converted, and cried, peace, peace, to quiet every fear that was aroused. You have not told us of this hour; and those who have warned us of it you declared to be fanatics and evil men, who would ruin us.” But I saw that the ministers did not escape the wrath of God. Their suffering was tenfold greater than that of their people.”[1].
  2. “Unfaithful pastors have prophesied smooth things, they have led their hearers to make void the law of God and to persecute those who would keep it holy. Now, in their despair, these teachers confess before the world their work of deception. The multitudes are filled with fury. “We are lost! they cry, and you are the cause of our ruin,” and they turn upon the false shepherds. The very ones that once admired them most of all, pronounce the most dreadful curses upon them. The very hands that once crowned them with laurels will be raised for their destruction. The swords which were to slay God´s people are now employed to destroy their enemies. Everywhere there is strife and bloodshed.”[2].
